Hey guys, if my video isn't loading , pick one of the flower centers that I made and printed for you,
tape it to the window and
trace onto watercolor paper then
paint with watercolors and
outline with the art syringes.
Then cut out the outside, NOT THE INSIDE!!!!
After you have painted your flower center, it must be attached to a thick piece of cardboard or thick mat board because this is the piece that will hold all of the big petals, leaves and the cord kit. Therefore, it must be strong enough to not droop over time and to be able to hold the weight that will be attached to it later. We call this structural integrity.
Remember that we are going to only be using light LED bulbs with this light so it does not get hot and burn the flower. Thedrefore you can also attach streamers to your center, BUT I do advise you to still keep the streamers away from the circumfrence area of the bulb to be attached later. So allow at least a 5 inch square/rounded area around the center that is not touching the light bulb.
You can draw your own center support piece, just make sure your center is centered in the middle of the flower so your lamp will be balanced. The center petals should match the number of large petals going onto the first layer on the support top. So, if you want twelve large petals on your lamp then your first layer will have 6 so your flower center should be drawn with sixes around the center circle. This makes it look good between the spaces. If you want ten large petals then make your center by fives like the sample one above. The center circle for the lamp does not get cut out until just before we attach the large petals.
