ALIEN CRITERIA
Have one on a space image and one on a white background with a shadow.
The shadow needs to be gaussian blurred and transparent to around 50%
Your alien should have smoothly integrated parts with several patterns incorporated into it.
Edges should be clean, smooth and crisp without random and unwanted artifacts hanging out.

The above pictures are examples of the Alien assignment. One way to get a feeling of depth is to just make the foreground colors more vibrant and contrasty and add a layer of textured or colored blur behind the foreground layer.
