Being playful, letting go of trying to be perfect, and instead, entering a mindset of playful curiosity is how great art is created. Play the "What if?" Game. Say to yourself, "What if I try this, or this, or this?" Until you hit upon the thing that works. It takes many tries and practices to finally get something interesting and compelling. Doing something just once doesn't really work at all, even when you are a great accomplished artist, a great athlete, an accomplished scientist, or an accomplished anything. Everyone has to practice to get good at something. Play the fool and fool around with ideas. Have confidence in your ability to play. Being silly is seriously important. Most of all, be patient with yourself.
Creativity comes from seeing things and showing them in a way other people hadn't thought of or sometimes pointing out the obvious.
