In this class you will expand your knitting abilities while having fun making special keepsakes. A variety of patterns will be available for different holidays. The finished projects can be used as ornaments, table and wall decorations, or cute gift adornments!

You will learn various shaping techniques which will be useful for your ornaments as well as many other projects. You'll learn how to increase, decrease with different slants, make an i-cord, when to slip as if to purl, when to slip as if the knit, and various other tips and techniques.

There will be plenty of pattern options. Many of the ornaments can be knit in an hour or less. Most of the 3-dimensional projects can be knit in the round or knit flat and sewn up. We will help you with sewing, and your sewing skills don't need to be great since no one sees the inside. Some options will also be available to challenge even advanced knitters, such as double-knit ornaments.

For the first class: Please bring US 6 or 7 needles. While the description said to bring straights or double-pointed, if you are familiar with magic loop or using two-circulars at once, then feel free to bring them instead.

If you don't have US6 or US7 needles, you can bring a similar size. These are ornaments. The sizing isn't crucial!

We will provide some yarn but feel free to bring your own as well. Ornaments are a great way to use up left-over yarn.
