Manipulating Color in KnittingKeefe Knitting - Manipulating Color in Knitting
Keefe Tech from 6:30-9. Wednesdays, March 4 - April 8, 2015.
This class is all about knitting intarsia colorwork in fun and interesting ways. We will explore ways to manipulate color by using texture, slipped stitches, decreases, increases, various short-rows and more. We will also teach you how to speed up your short-row work by knitting backwards instead of purling. Each student will work on one or more projects that incorporates these techniques. There will be plenty of time for you to try the different techniques and then choose a pattern and style that calls to you.
For the first class, bring some US8 needles and 2 or more colors of worsted yarn and we will practice techniques.
There are many beautiful ways to manipulate color some very easy and some more complicated. This class is perfect for someone who has finished a beginner class as well as the advanced knitter.
