Local Knitting Stores
Fabric Place Basement in the Cloverleaf Mall in Natick always has a coupon on its site (and even more if you sign up for their newsletter.) They have wonderful needles including interchangeables as well as beautiful yarns running the gamut from inexpensive to designer. They also have all things sewing including a gigantic button box where all the buttons are only 25 cents! The only caveat is the people there are not very knowledgeable about knitting or yarn, especially when it comes to beginning knitters, so be aware of that and go there knowing what you want in terms of needles or size and amount of yarn.
Black Sheep in Needham center is a gorgeous store - my favorite. They have great sale yarns at 40% and fabulous deals during the year. They also have a senior discount and 20% off all yarn on your birthday. Great people, good sales, GORGEOUS shop.
Franklin Mill Store in Franklin has some Addis and a good amount of reasonably-priced yarn. They have Happy Feet sock yarn here. Sales are announced via their newsletter.

Knit Picks has fantastic, inexpensive needles, and lots of reasonably prices notions, yarns, and kits. They often have 40% off on books and free shipping over $50. Needless to say, I have A LOT of knitpicks sock yarn, needles and notions. This is also where I got my sock blockers that give the socks that nice shape you see in my pictures.
