Pompey Pluckers: Portsmouth's very own amateur ukulele group

Please email us at info@pompeypluckers.org if you'd like us to play at your event, giving brief details of type of audience, time, date, venue.

We normally charge a fee and put our charity collecting tin round during our performance.

Hello... we are a diverse group of people living in and around Portsmouth UK, who love playing the ukulele and welcome new members of any ability.  Since we started performing in 2010, we have been responsible for raising over £60,000 for local charities. This year we've decided to support three local charities, all with worthy causes:

Age UK Portsmouth provide free advice on welfare benefits, social care, housing, scams and legal issues. Help around the home and  befriending support and social activities for Forces veterans and their families in Portsmouth.

MAKE - Aldingbourne Trust Portsmouth supports people with learning disabilities and/or autism, providing real skills, care,  jobs through strong partnerships between social enterprise and charity fundraising to give the people we support real choices to live independent lives.

PARCS: Portsmouth Abuse & Rape Counselling Service works with people who have been sexually violated at any time in their lives and provides free specialist counselling and psychotherapy to all genders, from aged 5.
