How does moral education fit into my metaphor? Moral Education is a principle. I feel like it is necessary that it is taught in schools although parents have a major influence in a students morals and sometimes teachers don't have good morals. If it is required to be taught in schools then it will help the students and the teachers to improve their morals. In my metaphor we will call moral education one of the detours that allow us to reach our destination and ultimately reach our potential along our journey. If we do not take the detour then we may get lost and arrive late or never show up.
Consider these two questions:
Are detours necessary?
Why do we hate detours if they help us?
