How can we change society's view of education to promote its funding? We need to change the view of teachers themselves. 40% of teachers are disheartened and when asked whether they believed that all of their students, if able to under the ideal circumstances, could go to college, they said that they did not believe that even though there would be ideal situations for them. These teachers' feelings affect students and cause for underachievement. This then goes on to affect society's view of education.
How can you help your partner build on their foundation? What is unique about your partner and makes them deserve to be treated differently?
Capri is energetic and she described it as "intense tenacity." I notice that she is positively energetic which is unique among learners and even teachers.
What makes you want to become a teacher?
I've been able to recognize the importance of teachers that inspire students to become life-long learners and not just to motivate them to graduate. I want to be an educator that motivates students to constantly be learning throughout their lives.
What are some characteristics of a "learning" society?
Support of the education system, schools, teachers, administrators, and students themselves. Reform is done looking at the past, present, and future.
