So where can I start on this, there are so many topics.
- Constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
- Why the shutdown?
- Who grew the balls to start it?
- What are the different sides?
- Why does it matter?
- Potential Outcomes
My google calendar being down has been more of an inconvenience than the federal government being down.

Go to U.S. Constitution. You don’t need to be a lawyer or scholar. It was written for 8th graders.
Section 7: “All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives”—the branch elected by the smallest districts with the fewest voters for shortest terms (2 years).
Section 8 lists the few, specific things the federal government can spend money on—forcing people to buy certain health insurance isn’t close to being one of them—in spite of Supreme Court Justice Roberts, a Bush appointee said. 63 House Democrats who supported Obamacare in 2010 were voted out of office a few months later to make Republican majority. That Republican majority was re-elected in 2012. Constitution designed to let a new Congress kill bad laws of previous Congress by refusing to pay for them. And when Obama say Obamacare law must be funded and enforced until repealed, he refuses to enforce immigration laws and build border fence that were not repealed and fully funded by Congress. And why are Republicans like Jeb Bush repeating Obama’s lies?

RI Senator Jack Reed blames house republicans, says its the obamacare is the law of the land.
It is under the authority of congress to defund a law. It is also the job of congress to write the laws, when obamacare is refereed to as "the President’s Affordable Care Act", you acknowledge its unconstitutionality. Both sides will not budge on the ACA; the president, the senate, or house of representatives.
Republicans only control the house, democrats occupy the senate & white house.
Florida senator Marco Rubio says:
______
After obamacare passed, the scales of power have tipped in progress against those who passed it.
The senate passed 3 bills to the house of representatives. Democrat Senate Majority leader refused to
allow a vote on any of them.
The only people to blame here are our elected officials. They waited until the last moment. They are
incapable of doing their job. Make notes of who is not wavering, and vote them out!
Continuing resolution is lazy way out of actually making a budget!
Whatever happens with this Affordable Care Disaster, I only want ONE THING. The ability to opt out.
