I was born second of four children to my two parents in North Jersey. Most of my pre-teen years were spent playing outside in the woods, exploring, and getting bruised up during the adventure. My parents believed in raising me with minimal TV influence, and we didn't have cable. For my birthday's, my favorite thing to ask for was Legos.
I moved to Ocean City, NJ the summer before I started eight grade. This summer I saved up money to build my first computer, and started getting acquainted to the differences between the mountains of north NJ, and the beach community of south NJ. After one year of Ocean City Intermediate School, I decided to move on to Cape May County Technical High-School.
In High-school I studied Computer Technology, got my A+ Certification as a sophomore, and Network+ Certification as a junior. One day a college recruiter from Johnson & Wales came to our class, and told me about a program that would let me skip my senior year. I decided to go for it. I would have taken the CCNA test in high school, but decided to pursue a Bachelors of Science in Network Engineering.
During my first year of college, my favorite side project was to liquid cool, and overclock my computer. For those familiar with this, I got the computer processor to run almost twice as fast as it is designed to. After my freshman year, decided to enroll in the SHARP program. This let me take extra courses every trimester of classes. I was also able to get a job working for the school, it came with significant scholarship money! Due to the SHARP program and summer courses, I graduated after 3 Years. Time to venture into "real world", college graduation at 20 years old.
I ended up getting very lucky by graduating early. I was looking for a job during the summer of 2007, and found a great position at Harris Corp. The best part, its close to my home town of Ocean City! I've worked at Harris as a Systems/Integration Test Engineer in both the Systems Engineering Group, and the Test Engineering Group. The details of the work there vary, and would require too much specialize knowledge to explain here, but while working here, I have met some of the smartest people I know.
Since I got an office job, and was not running around campus as much, I needed to find ways to stay active. I started surfing in the summer, then picked up martial arts for the winter, and recently started doing mud runs.
After working for 2 years, I had enough to make a down payment on my first house. In late 2009 I bought my first house. It had been sitting empty for a couple years, and needed more work than I ever considered.
All this brings me to why I've decided to run for an elected position.
1) Paying taxes: Primarily property tax & income tax. Follow the money, where does it go?
2) Inequality in the justice system: Creation of redundant laws, selective enforcement of laws, as misinterpretation of the intent of laws.
3) Wasteful spending: Undeclared wars (terror & drugs), entitlement programs, and social security dragnets.
