In 1850 Pilgrim Mazotti, modeller, had a studio at Bull Lane, Ely, Cambridgeshire.1
On the 1851 census, collected on 30 March, Fanny Mazottee was a house maid to James Cropley, farmer, at Downham Lane, Ely St Mary.2 She was unmarried, 23, and born in Norwich. Was this Pellegrino's eldest daughter, Maria, who would have been 28 in 1851?
