Xwing-04May2014

X-Wing Miniatures Tournament held at Gamersaurus Rez on STAR WARS DAY! (May the 4th)

Seeing as how this was our first X-wing tournament, we had initially planned to just enter and see how tourny-level gameplay was like and see if we were playing correctly in our casual games.

Some of the things we found out we had been playing wrong!!

1) You only reveal your dials when it's your ship's turn to act. We have always played that we all turn over all our dials at the same time and just took turns in ascending piloting order to fly. Haha, no more barrel-rolling out of firing arc :p

2) You're not supposed to measure anything during activation. Except Target Lock. Which led to possible "I'm going to Target Lock that ship which is obviously too far away, so I can "agar-agar" see how near the other one is."

3) There is a defense bonus of +1 for shooting through asteroids. So those things really do get in the way.

Good to know these things. Will really change the way we play. Not that we weren't noob enough to begin with. Heh.

Ended with a 2-1 overall and managed to score some promo cards and acrylic tokens, which we then traded for Y-Wing and Tie Interceptor deckboxes to keep LCG decks in!!

Our squad consisted of:

Roark Garnet (24)

HWK-290 (19), Ion Cannon Turret (5)

Blue Squadron Pilot (31)

B-Wing (22), Fire-Control System (2), Heavy Laser Cannon (7)

Han Solo (55)

YT-1300 (46), Chewbacca (4), Gunner (5)
