WARNING - SPOILERS!!!

You have been warned! Do not proceed if you do not wish to find out what happens....

A bit of a reality check here before I take on the role of the character. Below is a retelling of the tale of AshCan Pete and his trusty dog Duke, as they take on one scenario of the Dunwich Legacy.

As above, the sequence of events below will likely spoil the story for you, but I will try to hide what I can. I'm also only going through the University portion of the expansion and will leave the Casino bit should you wish to venture further.

Of course, for simplicity (and flavour) sake, I will not be going through a step-by-step of the game play, (skipping and combining some turns) but rather just interesting and fun moments that make up a story!

And so, without further ado....

Mindin' my own business over here, when this Professor found me and offered me a job. Din tell me much, except that I needed to hightail over to the local University and find this ol colleague of his. Said something about "danger"and "madness"and what not. I almost turned him down, but ol'Duke here seemed to take a liking to him. That and the great wad of cash he offered seemed mighty enticing.

Figured the University greens were as good a place as any to begin. Ol'Duke's an expert at sniffing out clues and stuff, figured I let him lead the way.

Got to the Humanities Building and realised we picked up a stray cat along the way. Oh well, the more the merrier I always say, especially when it comes to critters. A bit of luck and a chance encounter as we managed to dig up some clues. Hmm....the building is locked. Strange, at this time of the day. Seemed wierd.

What in the.... Just as we were about to high tail it out of there, this portal thing stopped up right in our tracks. Still, Duke reckoned we should push forward. And it wasn't but for sheer force of will that we were able to make it through.

Seems the Humanities Buildings is not your typical university facility. Figured, the next best place to look for clues of the professor would be in the Library.

The sights and sounds that greeted us as we entered was too much to bear. Somehow, this ain't no normal library. Memories, no...Nightmares of my time in the void, flooded my mind. It took all of my strength and will to overcome it. Thankfully Duke, and our new cat friend was right beside me, holding me up.

Just as I thought the nightmare was the last of my worries, from behind the bookshelf, a twisted abomination shambled into view.

Still troubled by my dreams, it took all I could just to muster a bait, switch and trick the demon into an accompanying hall way.

With the demon far away, I shrugged off the nightmares, telling maself to get it together. Duke sensed I was a-okay and pounced upon the demon, tearing it up a new ún.

With that out of the way, we figured we begin looking into this missing professor thing a bit more seriously! After some digging, it turns out the door to some areas were locked. The door was mighty sturdy too. Without a key, it doesn't look like we'll be getting far.

Another barrier! Somethin's really fishy about this place. Luckily our experience with the first one taught us how to get around this one rather easily.

Hmm, turns out, that barrier wasn't as much as keeping us out, than keeping someone else in. Dispelling the barrier and sniffing around somemore revealed that the head janitor Jazz here, might know how to get through those locked doors.

It took a while, specially since I ain't not much of talker, but we finally convinced Jazz that he could be trusting us.

Not as soon as Jazz was about to lead us into the office, another thrall abomination ambushed us! Outta no where, the kitty that had been followin'us leapt at the creature, giving us time to escape. I sure hope nothing bad happened to that kitty.

Jazz told us that the Professor was most likely to be in his office. We rushed over there, and used all my ingenuity, and good ol'Dukes trust nose to locate our dear faculty.

Thankfully, it didn't take us long to do it. Professor Rice here however, wasn't surprised when we told him about the strange barriers and monsters. Grabbin'my hand, he looked me dead in the eye and whispered, "We need to get to the Casino!" I suggested we chill at the bar and compose ourselves first. He assured me that there was no time and we can regroup along the way. "What about them dar monsters!?"I asked as he shoved us into his car and drove away. Looking back on the rear view mirror, it looked like they're clearing outta the school...and following us!

Well well, looks like the adventure's not over yet....and there's some gamblin' to be done too!
