Yes, you can inspect a vehicle as often as you like and apply a new sticker good for a year, providing that you do a full and complete PA Safety inspection and the vehicle passes. Now that Pennsylvania has changed Motor Carrier Vehicles to annual inspection many stations are choosing to inspect them more frequently than what is required. This is at the option of the vehicle owner and if the inspection is performed before the vehicle is due, upon passing the vehicle will receive an annual sticker that is good for 12 months from the date of inspection.
* Please remember, School buses; vehicles which are under contract with or owned by a school district or a private or parochial school, including vehicles having chartered group and party rights under the Public Utility Commission and used to transport school students; passenger vans used to transport persons for hire or owned by a commercial enterprise and used for the transportation of employees to or from their place of employment; and mass transit vehicles are still semi-annual inspection.
You can read more about the inspection requirements in the February 2017 bulletin.
