Patch Placement on Cub Scout Uniforms
Check out the individual rank specific pages for uniforms in the menu. There you can see where the patches go for each rank and what patches are allowed to be on a uniform.
Youth Patch Vest - 'Brag' Vest
Very few patches that are received throughout cub scouts can be worn on the Cub Scout Class A Uniform.
Wondering what to do with all of the extra activity and service Patches? One way to display them is with a Youth Patch or 'Brag' Vest. (Pictured to the left). The vest can be purchased at the Scout Store or online at scoutstuff.org for $14.99, or can be easily made with red felt, a few brass grommets, and a length of leather.
Another option is to use a red cloth or felt material to create a banner to hang up at home.
Right Pocket Hanging Patch
One single pocket hanging patch normally earned by attending council or district events such as Twilight Camp or Webelos Resident Camp
Left Pocket Flap Patch
The Outdoor Activity Award pocket flap patch is one of the few flap patches available in Cub Scouts. It is highly advised that this be sewed on, not ironed on with Badge Magic.
Webelos Color Ribbons
These are specific to the Webelos Uniform. Webelos scouts will use them to pin on the adventure pins that they complete instead of using belt loops as they did in the earlier ranks of Cub Scouts.
Webelos Color Ribbons
The Religious Knot Award is the only knot award available to Cub Scouts. It is placed above the left poket.
Council Shoulder Patches
Different Council shoulder patches can normally be earned by attending Webelos Resident Camp. They can replace the council shoulder patch purchased when you first put together your uniform.
Recruiter Strip Patch
The coveted Recruiter Strip patch is the only sleeve patch available to cub scouts above the required patches.
