The Webelos Uniform
Boys have the choice of using their old shirt uniform or purchasing a tan shirt which is a sign that they are starting their transition into becoming a Boy Scout.
To get an idea of pricing, or to order items online, visit http://www.scoutstuff.org. This is the official online scout shop.
They should have the same prices as our local scout shops.
NOTE: Rank patch placement is different on the tan uniform, so please take note. You cannot place the bobcat, tiger, wolf, or bear patches on the tan uniform.
Required:
The uniform will be used through at least 5th Grade - so size it appropriately.
Shirt (Short Sleeve)
Belt
Neckerchief
Neckerchief slide
Blue Jean pants
Closed toe tennis shoes
Optional:
Hat
BSA Pants or Shorts
The Uniform Code:
Your son or daughter should/will be encouraged to wear his uniform appropriately. The shirt should always be tucked in and orderly. He or she should understand the importance of representing the entire Scout Organization while in uniform.
Time to Sew?
The image to the right will help with the placement of emblems and patches.
Additional Uniform items you'll need to Buy:
Scout World Crest Emblem (purple, above left pocket)
Council Patch (Circle Ten, shoulder patch)
Pack Numbers* (see below)
Patrol specific (talk to your Patrol leader)
Blue shoulder loops (epaulets)
Patches You don't need to Buy:
Any badge or patch that your boy earns will be awarded (at no cost) during the Monthly Pack Meetings. You will need to sew them on, but they are provided.
* The Pack does occasionally special order the Red "Pack Number" Patch so you don't have to sew four number patches separately. Pack number patches are available at Pack Meetings.
