The Lüttfeld Vocational College is located in a rural area and because of that is a so-called "Bündelschule" (school with a large catch-ment area) with about 2500 students aged between 16 and 24 and staff of 125. The large catchment area necessitates a wide range in various education courses (e.g. mechanical and electrical engineering, civil and environmental engineering, media design, social and health care, etc.) and at very different levels of education (e.g. vocational preparation and education, O-level, A-level, advanced technical/social education, etc.). The socio-economic conditions of the majority of students are rather inconspicuous.
