The first Learning/Teaching/Training activity of the ERASMUS+ Project “Our Lives In 20 Years” took place in Lemgo/Germany from Sunday, 29th November until Saturday, 5th December 2015 with 56 participants from 5 European countries: France (Champagnole), Italy (Catania), Poland (Nasielsk), the Czech Republic (Most) and Germany (Lemgo).
Unfortunately, our partner from Edinburgh/Scotland wasn’t allowed to come due to security concerns of the government caused by the terrorist attacks in Paris on 13th November.
The topic of the first project meeting was “Our Energy In 20 Years”: students and teachers discussed and carried out a set of transnational activities about past and future developments and changes in the field of energy, e.g. they presented their countries’ energy consumption by source, their personal environmental awareness and green energies in their towns/schools, they performed experiments on solar and wind energy, visited places of energy generation such as a coal mine, a cokery, a biogas plant, solar panels and wind turbines and suggested the best energy for life in 20 years. Apart from that, there were a lot of cultural activities, e.g. a guided city tour through Lemgo, an excursion to Hamburg including a harbour cruise and a stroll across Lemgo’s famous traditional Christmas market.
However, time flew very fast and all very sad when saying good-bye to their new friends!
