The second Learning/Teaching/Training activity of the ERASMUS+ Project “Our Lives In 20 Years” took place in Most/Czech Republic from Sunday, 28th February until Saturday, 5th March 2016. Teams from all six European countries participated in the project meeting, 27 Czech and 33 foreign participants took part in this Learning/Teaching/Training activity.
The topic of the second project activity was “Our Family In 20 Years”. The students and teachers carried out surveys of family life and family policy in their cities, regions and countries. They made short videos about family life today and in the past in their countries and at the meeting they decided which of the films wins the Oscar award for the best film.
The participants of the meeting took part in a lot of transnational activities concerning family life in the past, present and future, e.g. they created posters presenting changes and developments in family structures and family life and ways of spending free-time within families in the future. They discussed and identified factors which have and will have an impact on changes in family life and they wrote recommendation letters in which they suggested the best ways of parenting and family support in the next 20 years.
The students and teachers visited different institutions like Children’s Home in Most, the Register Office in the Old Town Hall in Prague and the Imperial Spa House in Františkovy Lázně, where they had an opportunity to exchange opinions about family problems and difficulties in their countries and discussed ways how to improve family support in the future.
Apart from that, the project meeting included different cultural activities, e.g. a guided city tour through Most and Prague, an orienteering game in Karlovy Vary or a multicultural party for teachers, students and their parents.
I believe that all participants of the project meeting spent in Most a nice week, found here new friends and considered the importance of a functional family for their future life.
