On Tuesday morning we met at 8:00 am at San Leone Square with all Erasmus people. After meeting everyone, we got on the bus and went to Acitrezza where we saw an exhibition of traditional Sicilian fishing boats. We also learned how they are built and that the ancient job of “mastro d’ascia”, who draws and cuts the wood to make boats, is now disappearing. After the exhibition we went to Acicastello to have there our packed lunch and someone could also visit the Norman castle.
At 13:00pm, in the afternoon, we made our way to Teatro Massimo Bellini by bus. At the theater the event manager took us on a tour of Teatro Massimo Bellini. We were explained many things on the shape of the theatre, on the Catanese musician Vincenzo Bellini and on the different arts which were performed on that stage. At the end of the tour Ciaran, Antoine and Agnia played the piano inside the theater. Antoine played hallelujah and we sang all together. It was a magical atmosphere and experience and if we wrote to have played and sung in an international theatre in our curriculum vitae, it wouldn’t be a lie!
