Everyone should have a theme song, a song that reminds them of who they are in this life and I discovered through much trial and error that my theme song is "The Mary Ellen Carter" by the late folksinger Stan Rogers. In particular are the lyrics; "And you to whom adversity has dealt a final blow/With smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter, Rise Again!" The song could be applied to Jacques Cousteau's Calypso, which is currently being restored after years of neglect have left it rusting in the harbor. "No matter what you've lost/be it a home, a love, a friend/like the Mary Ellen Carter, Rise Again!"
