Stephen King went to Center "Grammar" School in Stratford, Connecticut.  The building is located, aptly, in Stratford Town Center and it was once gutted by fire. It now houses the Stratford Board of Education.In Stephen King's memoir "On Writing, A Memoir of the Craft," Stephen King talks about the trouble he and his older brother Dave got into living on West Broad Street a short distance away, including blowing out the street's electricity working on Dave's high school science project (a "Super Duper Electromagnet") and flooding the entire West Broad area by damming up Stony Brook.
