2sd bite = Political & Social. Modified Economic. The Maastricht Treaty 1992
The Second dose of poison came with the signing of the single European Act in the early months of 1986 and enforced the following year. This was a Political and monetary union that Britain entered into. This signing endorsed member states to commit to the legislative programme which was needed to create the single European market by the end of 1992.
William Walker in his book " The Hidden Manna" pages229-230 (Trafford Publishing 2008) states that:
"The final decision to complete majority voting on all issues is soon to be taken. This is one of the areas where Britain is at odds with her European partners. It would mean that member states would have to abide by the majority decision and would be unable to veto anything that they judge to be against their own national interests. The S.E.A (single European Act) became fully and finally effective at midnight 31st December 1992 It will and [does] effect all our lives. All nations are trying to obtain membership of this Federation- it will be the most powerful federation of states ever seen".
William Walker with poiniant insight & understanding states that: " the nations outside of this federation will stand no chance". that this "colossus will call the shots". He asked the question:- " Is this the Beast that both John & Daniel predicted as "coming out of the sea" i.e. Single European Act (SEA)? Surely the reference cannot be just a coincidence".
