Working their way up the winding road to Wilderville,
Grim went ahead to recon the interment camp's perimeter finding sturdy walls guarded by supermutant sentries. The far side of the compound precariously overhung a great ravine, across the ravine and outside of rifle range, but still in line of sight the Knights took to a position to observe what going on and get a lay of the land.
Checking the ravine Grim determined the cliff side that had no wall was intentionally caused by explosive calving and it looked like one row was left, she also found a wide enough pipe going underneath the compound, Grim scouted ahead and then returned reporting that the pipe lead into the prison block where there was an incinerator, she also explained that she believed there was still one set of calving charges.
After witnessing the gruesome eating habits of the Behemoth as a supermutant in an Executioners hood and a strange hooked polearm fed him the butchered remains of a prisoner, the group decided to sneak in to the area tonight. Sneaking in to a bloodied horrible room, Grim and BW slew the sentry Centaur with great stealth. Then they rescued the three V33 folks [Sandra(old woman),Kenneth, and Thomas (Teen)] then planned to rescue the rest of the Tribals held in one of the Quonset huts.
As they made to leave the cell-block they found an odd room, where inside a strange skein pressed against the door in a most peculiar way. Touching it BW said it felt like wet flesh. ACE quickly did an analysis and determined it was a kind of virus that fortunately BW was not infected by, and it was similar to the strain they found in Vault 41. After wiping the goo off on his pants the group made a plan to rescue the tribals.
To get past all the sentries, ACE was able to jury rig the burned out stealth-boy that they had taken from the nightkin and made their way around to the distant Quonset hut when the Behemoth scented the bear in the Cell block and with a might lunge into the prison block, killed Callisto.
This also raised the general alarm.
To which the order "to go loud" BW launched a Fat Boy nuclear bomb at the Behemoth, what followed was a massive nuclear blast along with two adventure cards (no one can soak until the next joker is played and auto ace) and killed the mighty behemoth in one shot. Not only that but it slagged the room that had the strange skein within and wiped out on prisoner room all together.
Doc took down a patrol while ACE, Grim, and Wayne motivated the tribals to get up and get ready to go at their signal.
Then all havoc broke out as the wall sentries pepper the knights with automatic weapons fire as the ground forces moved in to engage.
What followed was one of the longest and toughest battles fought by the knights, and while several times various members of the knights were near deaths edge, healing, being hard to kill, and simply luck allowed the knights to prevail over the forces in the prison, despite reinforcements coming out at one point. Thus the knights escorted the tribals to safety, just as those Supermutants holed up in the prison control room detonated the last wave of demolitions sending the last of the Quonset huts tumbling down to the ravine below.
Then the knights assaulted the control room, finishing off the last hold outs including one that was known as the Executioner. After defeating him they found the Children of Cathedral agent Caroline, taking her prisoner and looting the bodies of ears, ammo, guns, and 500 caps and Volume 10 of the Encyclopedia Atomica, they left through the front door Tribals, Vaulters, and prisoner in tow.

Taking the Executioners strange weapon with them the group left the prison and proceeded to take the long journey North back to Thorn, stopping by Canyon Creek and giving the Executions weapon to Seamus as both payment for passage and as a promise to return to finish the job once the Prisoners were returned safely to the north and their prisoner, Caroline, was brought to justice.
Along the way the questioning of Caroline only validated what they knew or had discovered on their own. And little else was gained.

Arriving in Thorn, Doc ensured that Dr. Hardy kept the Vaulters under "extended medical rest" while the tribals were looked after.
Thus the group earned 3XP (s/b at 71)
