Who can show me straight lines in the room?
Who can stand up and show me what a straight line looks like with your body?
Presentation of Content
Teacher will demonstrate:
Using scissors how to cut paper in lines
Put glue in paper, place and press down
Explain that each line of paper must touch the ends of the paper
How and where to add shapes of primary colors to create a balanced collage -
Assessment and Evaluation
Teacher will:
Walk around room holding up examples and pointing out details
Hold up work and explain the unique compositions
Guide and help students decide where to place lines
Walk around room holding examples of work that shows use of balance
Correct any misuse of glue
Make certain all directions are being followed
