AWARD WINNERS

IBE Golden Light Awards are presented to young people either affected by epilepsy or have made a significant positive impact on the lives of others who have the condition. The name of the award signifies someone who espouses the spirit of IBE, which is to "bring epilepsy out of the shadows and into the light". The Golden Light Awards are presented at all regional and international epilepsy congresses by the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE).

Do you know a young person with epilepsy, who is working to 'bring epilepsy out of the shadows and into the light', who you believe is deserving of recognition? Or do you know someone caring for a person with epilepsy who is a 'shining light' and worthy of reward? Even if that person you know is now seizure free but is still active within the community, can be nominated. To nominate a candidate, you can reach out to us at epilepsymalaysia@gmail.com, detailing why you feel this person is deserving of the award. Candidate must be between 18 and 35 years of age on the 1st January 2024.

You can find out more information about the IBE Golden Light Awards here.
