Today I found a new game to play. I am fascinated by it. Cloud Chamber was released August 7th and there is some buzz out there about it. It is basically a sci fi type mystery in a story / movie format....There are actors and scenes that you watch and use as clues to the mystery. But, the only way to get through the game and reach higher levels is by interacting socially with other players. You need to make comments, read other comments, vote on how you like others comments and then hope that your comments are liked by others. The more likes you get the higher up the leader board you reach and more levels are unlocked. I am still at a low level, just trying to figure it all out. I was thrilled when, after I made a comment, someone responded and even liked my post. This is considered a massive multi-player online game.
I am learning by exploring the environment and watching interviews and other articles about the game. I have moved all around the environment to see interesting pieces of information. I have watched video snippets of a video blog which was taken as part of the story. But there are all kinds of issues with the video feed that is part of the story as well. And I can take my time exploring. I spent more time on this game today than I did on any of the other games I've played in one day. It pulled me right in. Fortunately, I don't get killed in this one. Both Monaco and Portal have deadly elements. Cloud chamber is not deadly to me. I am solving a mysterious death in Cloud Chamber.
Looking forward to more play time tomorrow!
