I have been writing my action research plan and formulating exactly what it is I'd like to find out. First I started by thinking broadly about my job and how I could use this action research to improve technology use at my school. I then transferred this to how will the action research be used to enable me in my new position at the school of technology coach. I just realized that it really isn't about just me and my action research. This action research will be about a group of teachers that decide to embark upon a journey with me. I want to try something, I am hoping other teachers will be interested in trying as well. If not, it's back to the drawing board I guess. Thankfully, I have a small group of teachers who are very supportive of me and will be very interested in trying new things related to technology. I think it will be fairly easy to bring them in. However, I don't want to just reach 5 or 6 teachers. I want to reach more. It will be interesting to find out after I put a message out to the staff about this plan who will come. I tried to bring teachers together earlier this year, setting up a meeting after school on a wednesday, and absolutely no one showed up! I'd say that was a bit of pre- research for my action research....Part of my action research will need teachers to be willing to meet during their lunch. I will need to make it an attractive option for people to join us. I am hoping for the best as I embark on this journey. Of course, it is all a learning process, right?
