Mr. Zun Siong LOW

I am a PhD student under the LKC Medicine PhD programme and my research interest is to demystify the disease progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver. I am fortunate to join Asst Prof Guan's lab as part of the lab rotation initiative as it allows me to pick up skills from the experts in lipids and infectious diseases. Although the emphasis of elucidating disease mechanism is usually placed on genetics, lipids analysis empowers me to look at my research in an entirely different angle (e.g. new biomarkers, pathways etc.). I hope to learn more about lipids and their role in both storage and signaling while working in the lab. I enjoy playing volleyball and basketball as well as going for runs in my spare time.
