Singapore Trans2Omics Workshop
Systems-scale analyses of genes, transcripts, proteins, metabolites, lipids and other biomolecules have emerged as separate fields, and contributed substantially to the field of systems biology. Biological systems are clearly not standalone entities and involve close biomolecular interactions. The next level to understanding the complexity of biology to facilitate the future of personalized medicine and drug discovery will depend on close integration of different ‘-Omics’ technologies. We themed our Symposium as Trans2Omics to mark trans-omics and translational -omics, with the motivation to bring together the community working on ‘–Omics’ and those interested in applying ‘–Omics’ to their research and clinical applications. At this scientific platform, the interactions will be at the human-to-human levels, which we hope synergism will emerge.
