Miss Ashley KOH

I am a final year undergraduate student at the School of Biological Sciences, NTU. Currently, I am working on my Final Year Project (FYP) at Asst. Prof. Guan’s lab. I had previously joined Asst. Prof. Guan’s lab under BS9001 Research Experience where I was given the opportunity to gain experience in tuberculosis research using Mycobacterium bovis BCG as a model. For my FYP, I am working on elucidating the mechanism of drug resistance in Mycobacterium abscessus. I hope that my work can contribute to the development of a more effective treatment for Mycobacterium abscessus infections.

I enjoy teaching science to young teenagers and hope to spread the love for science.
