Kelly wasn’t playing with fire. He was sitting on a bus stop bench minding his own business, thinking his own poor troubled thoughts, when he was approached by FPD and frightened into flight. Notice his natural reaction to threat was flight, not fight.

It is Law Enforcement who get away with murder.

Comment: Murderer Police Officer Manuel Remorseless.

The video was witness of murder. The weight of 6 heavy officers being pushed into the weak body of a homeless man for approximately 10 minutes alone is enough to crush Kelly Thomas and prevent his breathing. Approximatley 1500 pounds is being exerted onto kelly's body. That is 3/4 Ton. The officers using the weight of their bodies as a lethal weapon mercilessly crushing a man to death, acting as if they were doing nothing wrong. What also happened that was not in sight of the recording while behind the trees must be questioned. The officers may have also used their hands & fists hidden beneath their bodies as they lay and push their weight, forearms, elbows, and knees as lethal weapons. They most probably applied pressure to vital points on Kelly's body which contributed to asphixyation, and death.

Traumatic blows to the face, head, and body with blunt object by the officers. Repeated taserings. The repeated blows to the head area by an Officer holding a blunt object is also evident on the video. Officer using his knee to deliver several kicks to Kelly's body. I believe the officers were deliberatley using the combined weight of their bodies to crush Kelly. Knowing full well they were causing harm to Kelly but, acting as if nothing is wrong. Acting as if they were merely trying to arrest Kelly while all the while doing what Officer Manuel Ramos said he was going to do to Kelly, and that is "these fists are going to fuck you up". And as Corp. Cicinelli said " I just start smashing his face to hell" using the end of his taser.

What stands out is the lack of remorse, and the calm and collected nature of the murder by the officers as it is something the police do routinely as just part of the job. Note how the police talk on the video was making it appear Kelly was violent and on some sort of drug making him act aggressive. Note how police exagerate the power and strength of Kelly Thomas who must weigh a mere 150 pounds, malnurished, weak homeless man as some sort of hercules on some superhuman drug who was over powering 6 fairly heavy trained officers. This is creating a witness. It is how the police act and what they say that leads people to think a certain way although the truth is opposite. Law Enforcement are trained to exert force in public settings. Part of the training not only teaches how to restrain, vital points, and kill but, it teaches how to make the force look justified by acting and saying things to make an observer think what police want it to appear.

And the further lack of remorse as they seemed to act jokingly among themselves at the end of this murder scene.

I do not believe 6 heavy officers could not have handcuffed Kelly during all the time he was being crushed on the ground by the officers. If 6 officers cannot handcuff a weak homeless man with 6 heavy officers on top of him then these officers are not properly trained, incompetent, or they deliberatley intended to remain on Kelly until Kelly could no longer move.

I believe law enforcement often intimidate, and force citizens into confrontation so they can use deadly force. Kelly has possibly had prior contacts with law enforcement. The prior contacts may have been provocations, excessive force, and false arrests. The prior incidents with police may have been abuse which according to video appears Kelly saw physical abuse directed at him by Officer Ramos putting on the gloves, and threatening Kelly that his fists are going to fuck him up. If Kelly was brutalized by police from previous incidents perhaps Kelly became scared and just wanted to get away from the eminant physical beating he knew was coming.

It is clear that police in this video were using a technique called 'Creating a Witness' to make any witness think that Kelly was resisting and fighting back when in fact it was the officers who were the aggressors using excessive fatal force. To make force look justified to an observer, law enforcement use deception called 'Creating a Witness'. As the officer is using force the officer says statements like "stop resisting", and other similar phrases, as well as exagerating actions to make it appear to the public that the citizen is resisting or fighting back (even if no resisting is occurring). Often times the citizen is not resisting but, the officer is acting as if the citizen is resisting. The objective is to plant the seed of justification into the publics mind to make the public think one thing that may be totally opposite of reality to later question that person, video, or recording as a witness. In other words law enforcement tell the people what to say and think. Law enforcement use deceptive false reporting, and manufacture crimes. What would you do if you are repeatedly being beaten?)

What is also disturbing is the amount of immunity given to law enforcement. Even in clear outright fatal excessive force, and civil rights violations as this incident. If a citizen merely looks a certain way that makes another person fearful the person is arrested for terrorizing, or domestic violence even if the accusation is false. If a citizen acted and said what Officer Ramos said the citizen would be convicted and in prison now.

Comment: A Constitution is the Peoples Rights.

The Constitution protects the citizens against governments tyranny.

In turn, the Citizen protects their Constitution with the 2nd Amendment. ("The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." - Thomas Jefferson)

When you Ban certain citizens from their 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms you are killing off your own allies making tyranny worse. ("They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" - Benjamin Franklin)

Those sworn officials you thought were defending your Constitutional Rights are perjures, and are not protecting equally the citizens. They are paid mercenaries for the rich, the powerful, and the governments. The trick of Law and Governments is to put deceptive fear into the public to exagerate and Lie to disarm America. If you citizen cannot defend your Constitution it is pretty well useless to you. You become the slave to your master law and governments. Holding police misconduct accountable, and ending immunity for law enforcement and prosecuters is essential to preserve the peoples Rights. It must go beyond proposed financial conditions of law suits. Those criminals whose occupation is Law and Government must be held to at least the same standards of punishment as any other occupation, or any other citizen would face. Why does America give so much credibility to an organization called Law Enforcement when the Law enforcerment has proven themselves to be much more criminal and dis-honest than the citizens? Think about it. Why do you think America is being dis-armed? It is easier to tyrannize the citizens when they are un-armed.

Law and Governments have proven time and time again their lack of respect, and perjury of oath for the Constitution and the peoples Rights. Law and Government are the true criminals and enemies of the United States.

This story of Kelly Thomas is classic typical American In-Justice today. It begins with a person from the public calling Law Enforcement with a False allegation. Law Enforcement responds based on the False phone call. Law Enforcement exagerates, distorts, and magnifies the False allegations with more of their own False Reports to distort police data for self promotions, and further Government Grant money. ...On September 21, 2011, Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas held a press conference to announce the results of the investigation. Rackauckas announced that according to the Orange County Coroner, the cause of death was "asphyxia caused by mechanical chest compression with blunt cranial-facial injuries sustained during physical altercation with law enforcement." Rackauckas said Thomas died because of the force of the officers on his chest, which made it impossible for him to breathe, causing Thomas to become unconscious. He then slipped into a coma and died when taken off life support five days later.

According to Rackauckas, the coroner stated that the injuries to Thomas' face and head contributed to his death. Also contributing to his death were brain injuries, facial and rib fractures, and the extensive bruising and abrasions he suffered during the beating, which left him lying in a "growing pool of blood," Rackauckas said. The toxicology report shows that Thomas had no illicit drugs or alcohol in his system. Thomas was severely bleeding and struggled and pleaded, "I can't breathe," "Dad, help me." The DA stated that the officers did not reduce their level of force during the nearly 10-minute assault, however Thomas combatted with officers for almost eight full minutes.

Earlier this month, an attorney representing the Thomas family released hospital records that showed that Thomas tested negative for drugs and alcohol and that the immediate cause of death was "brain death" due to "head trauma" from the incident.

The hospital records released showed that he suffered brain injuries, a shattered nose, a smashed cheekbone, broken ribs and severe internal bleeding. Thomas also had been shocked with a stun gun "multiple" times, including in the left chest near the heart, those records showed.

"They kept beating him and Tasering him. I could hear zapping, and he wasn't even moving," said Turgeon. "He had one arm in front of him like this, he wasn't resisting. And they kept telling him, 'He's resisting, quit resisting,' and he wasn't resisting."

...Thomas's father, Ron, is a former Orange County Sheriff's deputy. He alleges that Fullerton police used excessive force.

"With six officers on him, that could average with all their equipment to 1,500 pounds of trained men against a 165-pound unarmed homeless man," said Ron Thomas.

...Thomas's sister and parents put up flyers hoping to find witnesses. They admit Thomas was homeless and had a history of mental illnesses. But they say he was not a violent person.

The owner of nearby Santa Fe Express Café agrees. Kelly Thomas visited her business daily.

"Everyone knew him, that he had some problems but he was a harmless soul," said Salma Bushala, owner of the café.

"I told the city manager that I'm angry that we've been lied to internally and that I can't rely upon official sources of information. And I said there needs to be a consequence for that," Whitaker, who is an aide to Assemblyman Chris Norby, told PBS SoCal reporter David Nazar.

...A wrongful termination lawsuit filed by Michael Reeves, a former doorman at the Slidebar Rock-N-Roll Kitchen in Fullerton, Calif., alleges that his manager lied to police in order to get them to respond faster to her complaint about Thomas, a homeless man loitering on the premises.

According to the complaint, bar manager Jeanette DeMarco told the Fullerton police dispatcher, "Kelly Thomas is in the parking lot breaking into cars." In fact, Reeves claims, Thomas was only picking up cigarette butts.

...At first, the complaint contends, that simply meant calling the police whenever Thomas or another homeless person appeared near the premises. But managers allegedly grew frustrated that officers would take as long as 30 minutes to respond to the call and then would only ask the transients to move along to a different spot.

That frustration, the complaint argues, is what led to DeMarco's resolve to "take care of this" on July 5, 2011, the night Thomas was beaten.

...The officers' confusion, based on Jeanette DeMarco's false report, gave way to greater confusion and ended only after it was already too late. The officers beat Kelly Thomas into a coma, and he was rushed to the hospital at the University of California Irvine.

...In a statement sent to HuffPost, Reeves, who also gave a press conference on Wednesday, reiterated his position:

"A Slidebar manager called Fullerton police and I heard her report that Kelly Thomas was in the parking lot breaking into cars. I knew her report to be false. I complained about that false report that night to my manager and continued to complain about the false report until the date I was terminated, on September 23, 2011."

A disabled man claims he was thrown to the ground and stomped during his arrest last year by a Fullerton police officer who has been charged with murder in connection with the beating death of another man.

Police recordings captured the 20-minute encounter between Mark Edwin Walker and two officers, including Manuel Ramos, last June. Ramos can be heard on the recordings trying to get Walker to stand as he handcuffed him and warning that he was going to break his arm if he didn't.

...Walker says in his lawsuit that he was picking up a prescription at a grocery store when Ramos confronted him, for the "sole purpose of harassing a 58 year old disabled man." When he protested, he says, Ramos picked him up, slammed him on the ground and stomped on his left hand, leaving him with scrapes, cuts and a broken hand bone.

..."C'mon, Mark, stand up. Stand up... I'm going to (expletive) break your arm, Mark," Ramos says. "Put your arm behind your back."

...On the police recordings, Walker protests his arrest for a few minutes after Ramos handcuffs him but does not mention an injury. "Why are you doing this," he asks several times. "Because you're not getting the picture, Mark, you're not getting the point," Ramos tells him.

...He filed suit on May 14 and served the city with it late last week, claiming a list of wrongs that include assault, battery, negligence and violation of his Constitutional rights. His lawsuit does not specify the amount of compensation he is seeking. "I've got a client who has more emotional issues now than anything else," his attorney said.

Two weeks to the day after Ramos stopped Walker, he confronted a homeless man named Kelly Thomas outside the Fullerton train station. Prosecutors say Ramos provoked and then participated in a bloody police beating that killed Thomas; they have charged him with second-degree murder and another officer, Cpl. Jay Cicinelli, with involuntary manslaughter.

Bunny says a Fullerton police officer intimidated her into handing over film from her 35mm camera, thereby exposing and destroying the film in the process. While she admits to turning over the film voluntarily, I note that the policeman in question took possession it - for reasons that remain unexplained, and at which point the cop’s belligerent attitude ceased.

The Missing Phone Call

On July 5th Kelly Thomas was approached by police supposedly because the cops had received a report of a man trying to burglarize cars in the parking lot.

Here’s the problem: A Friend has confirmed through a records request that there were only two calls to the police for auto burglary in the Fullerton Transportation Center on July 5th, and neither one had anything to do with Kelly Thomas or anyone else in the area at the time.

In fact, one call was made early in the morning and the other came in at 11:30 pm, well after Kelly Thomas had already been beaten to death. Both calls were for stolen catalytic converters, an unlikely target for a homeless man with no tools.

So what really led officers to investigate a vehicle burglary at 8:30 pm on July 5th? Why were no calls logged or reports taken before Kelly was arrested? Who reported a crime, and how did they report it without going through the dispatch system?

It’s really starting to look like the whole burglary thing was an invention; an excuse to harass a homeless guy who wasn’t doing anything wrong.

The acquittal of two Fullerton, California police officers in the beating death of Kelly Thomas, a homeless man who was pummeled into a coma as he begged for his life, underscores the fact that cops now have a license to murder.

Thomas, a mentally disabled homeless man, was beaten, tasered, suffocated and pistol whipped as he lay on a street corner being sat on by no less than six police officers during an incident in July 2011.

In what is undoubtedly one of if not the most disturbing police brutality videos ever, Thomas can be heard pleading for his father, moaning, “Daddy, daddy, they are killing me,” as officers prolong the assault.

According to the jury in the case, who found officer Manuel Ramos and officer Jay Cicinelli not guilty on all charges of murder and manslaughter, Thomas just coincidentally chose to die of an undiagnosed heart condition in hospital five days after the beating having never regained consciousness.

Police claimed that the brutal pummeling they inflicted on Thomas, illustrated by shocking photos of his bloodied and swollen body, was a justified response to his pathetic attempts to resist being murdered.

“These peace officers were doing their job. They had no malice in their heart,” said John Barnett, an attorney for Ramos.

Ramos’ lack of malice was clearly evident during the encounter, when he grunts at Thomas, “You see these fists? They’re about to f**k you up.”

Claims made by police that Thomas was resisting because he was on drugs were disproved by toxicology reports which found no drugs in Thomas’ system.

“I’m just horrified. They got away with murdering my son,” Cathy Thomas, the victim’s mother, told reporters.

“This is carte blanche to police officers to do whatever they want,” said Ron Thomas, the victim’s father and a retired Sheriff’s Deputy.

The jury bought the argument made by the prosecution that a prostrate and unarmed Thomas posed a threat to six armed police officers, which as William Norman Grigg highlights, now means that any meager form of resistance against sustained violence metered out by police officers is justification for murder.

“John Barnett, the police union attorney who represented the killer cops, insisted that the beating was an appropriate response to Thomas’s pathetic, doomed struggle to save his life, writes Grigg, adding, “The jury validated the argument that the act of resisting such criminal violence is a capital offense worthy of summary execution.”

(CNN) -- What is it with juries in high-profile cases in Southern California? Over the years, they've become a national joke. But no one is laughing.

Instead, with each travesty of justice and every acquittal that should have been a conviction, you're left wondering just what trial these 12 folks were watching and questioning whether we should have higher standards for who sits on a jury. Sometimes, the juries in local and state courts get it wrong, and the Justice Department must step in and make it right.

Think back to the acquittal in April 1992 of four Los Angeles police officers who, one year earlier, savagely beat motorist Rodney King. They walked out of a courtroom in Simi Valley, California, as free men -- sparking days of rioting, looting and violence.

At the time, the conventional thinking on newspaper editorial pages and on talk radio was the jurors in that largely white suburb of Los Angeles, which was itself home to many active-duty and retired police officers, saw the police force as their line of defense against undesirables like King. So naturally, the argument went, they would cut them some slack. The officers were tried again, and convicted in federal court of violating King's civil rights. Justice was finally served.

Here we go again. There hasn't been much civil unrest over what happened to Kelly Thomas, the homeless and mentally ill man who -- on July 5, 2011 -- was beaten to death by a swarm of police officers in Fullerton, California.

But now that the verdict is in, literally, on the two former officers who were charged in his death, there is plenty of outrage on talk radio, online and in other public forums. Another 12 people who swore an oath to consider the evidence and the law and make sure that justice is served appear to have gotten it terribly wrong.

This week, that jury in Santa Ana, California -- a city about 30 miles southeast of Los Angeles -- produced a wave of gasps in the courtroom when it announced that it had found Manuel Ramos, who had been charged with second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter, and Jay Cicinelli, who was charged with involuntary manslaughter and excessive use of force, not guilty on all counts.

What? The beating was caught on a surveillance tape. When you watch those 33 minutes of footage, assuming you can stomach the experience, it's hard to believe that anyone could declare the perpetrators "not guilty." The surveillance camera footage shows Thomas being beaten and stunned with a Taser by police until he was unrecognizable and unconscious.

You see a defenseless and compliant young man screaming in pain, saying he's sorry and pleading for help from his father. His words will haunt you, "Daddy, help! They're killing me!" According to prosecutors, the young man suffered brain injuries, facial fractures, broken ribs and extensive bruises and abrasions. He wound up lying in a pool of blood. He died five days later.

This was not a by-the-book case of police officers using all necessary force to subdue a suspect who was resisting arrest -- a suspect, by the way, who had committed no crime. This was not, as Ramos' attorney claimed, a case of police offices simply "doing their job" with "no malice in their heart."

Check the video. Early on in the confrontation, Ramos appears to tell the young man who is sitting on the ground: "You see my fists? They're getting ready to f--- you up!" Another officer is heard telling a comrade: "We ran out of options so I got to the end of my Taser and I ... smashed his face to hell."

There is the malice. This was abuse of power and an instance of bullying behind a badge. It happens more than we'd like to think in America. But this time, it went too far. And a man died, and a family was shattered.

Yet, the jury somehow missed all this? How does this happen? In Los Angeles, people are saying that the mentally ill are the new Rodney King. In the same way that the jury in Simi Valley was inclined to back the officers who it saw as protecting them from people like King, now the jury in Santa Ana is backing the officers who it counts on to prod people like Thomas to move along, leave the streets, and get out of sight.

It's a plausible explanation. Human beings aren't perfect, and sometimes those who sit on juries are plagued by their own prejudices -- in this case, against those who behave in erratic ways which we don't understand.

This much we can understand: Cops are supposed to protect the weak, not prey on them. Just like they're supposed to protect all of us. The tragedy of Kelly Thomas raises a question: When police officers lose control and go from public servants to violent bullies, who will protect us from them?

In this case, there is only one answer and one place left that can right this wrong: The Justice Department.

On July 5, 2011, Kelly Thomas, 37, was brutally beaten to death by six Fullerton, California, police officers. The horrific scene was captured entirely on surveillance camera, with even more haunting audio. Here we are, four years later, and there still has not been any justice for the unarmed, homeless, and schizophrenic man.

Jay Cicinelli was one of two former Fullerton, California cops who was acquitted in the brutal 2011 beating death of Kelly Thomas. This much well known. What many don’t realize is this killer cop has been receiving $40,000 in an annual pension, paid out in tax-payer dollars from the City of Los Angeles. Former Officer Cicinelli is receiving this pension while sitting at home, after walking free – not facing any prison time for his crimes.... The Los Angeles Times reported back in 2011, that “despite his disability, Cicinelli was hired as an officer by the Fullerton Police Department, where he worked his way up from a reserve officer to a corporal earning $88,544 a year.” Are you doing the math? This was all on top of the $40,000 that the LAPD was already paying him and still pays him to this very day.....Meanwhile, Cicinelli has kept busy filing motions begging to be reinstated. If he were to be reinstated, that would put his salary back to a staggering $130,000 a year!

Manuel Ramos, one of two cops acquitted last year in the beating death of Kelly Thomas, was arrested last month for domestic violence, which should come as a surprise to nobody considering he is a proven thug with violent tendencies. A cop who told a helpless homeless man, “You see these fists? They are getting ready to fuck you up,” before proceeding with his threat that left the man dead. So we can only imagine what he did to the woman he is accused of abusing. The domestic violence arrest took place July 16 by Fullerton police, which explains why it is only coming to light now. And only because word of the arrest kept reaching us here at PINAC and apparently other news agencies, prompting us to start asking questions....

Manuel Ramos, the fired Fullerton cop acquitted in the 2011 beating death of Kelly Thomas, is in trouble with the law again. His former chums at the Fullerton police department responded to a family disturbance call around 2 p.m. on July 16 at the 3600 block of West Oak Avenue in the city.

Ramos later got booked at his old workplace for allegedly assaulting a woman. The high-profile domestic violence arrest remained hush-hush until a source tipped local activist Stephan Baxter that the dirty ex-cop had been cuffed once more.

"It shows a propensity for violence," Ron Thomas, Kelly's father, tells the Weekly. "He's a punk, a thug and a violent person. He just doesn't give a damn!"

Though the arrest happened in mid-July, ABC7 first reported it only yesterday afternoon. With a big civil trial lined up this month over his son's death, Thomas speculates that it's not a coincidence. "They want it as quiet as possible," he says of the city. "Ramos being arrested isn't going to make him look good."

The 41-year-old former Fullerton cop posted $10,000 bail and the Orange County District Attorney's office is looking into the incident. The OCDA, of course, brought charges against Ramos once before for second-degree murder after the cop told Thomas, "See these fists? They are getting ready to fuck you up," before he and five other Fullerton police officers went on to do just that.

“Citizens may resist unlawful arrest to the point of taking an arresting officer's life if necessary.” Plummer v. State, 136 Ind. 306. This premise was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States in the case: John Bad Elk v. U.S., 177 U.S. 529. The Court stated: “Where the officer is killed in the course of the disorder which naturally accompanies an attempted arrest that is resisted, the law looks with very different eyes upon the transaction, when the officer had the right to make the arrest, from what it does if the officer had no right. What may be murder in the first case might be nothing more than manslaughter in the other, or the facts might show that no offense had been committed.”

“An arrest made with a defective warrant, or one issued without affidavit, or one that fails to allege a crime is within jurisdiction, and one who is being arrested, may resist arrest and break away. lf the arresting officer is killed by one who is so resisting, the killing will be no more than an involuntary manslaughter.” Housh v. People, 75 111. 491; reaffirmed and quoted in State v. Leach, 7 Conn. 452; State v. Gleason, 32 Kan. 245; Ballard v. State, 43 Ohio 349; State v Rousseau, 241 P. 2d 447; State v. Spaulding, 34 Minn. 3621.

“When a person, being without fault, is in a place where he has a right to be, is violently assaulted, he may, without retreating, repel by force, and if, in the reasonable exercise of his right of self defense, his assailant is killed, he is justified.” Runyan v. State, 57 Ind. 80; Miller v. State, 74 Ind. 1.

“These principles apply as well to an officer attempting to make an arrest, who abuses his authority and transcends the bounds thereof by the use of unnecessary force and violence, as they do to a private individual who unlawfully uses such force and violence.” Jones v. State, 26 Tex. App. I; Beaverts v. State, 4 Tex. App. 1 75; Skidmore v. State, 43 Tex. 93, 903.

“An illegal arrest is an assault and battery. The person so attempted to be restrained of his liberty has the same right to use force in defending himself as he would in repelling any other assault and battery.” (State v. Robinson, 145 ME. 77, 72 ATL. 260).

“Each person has the right to resist an unlawful arrest. In such a case, the person attempting the arrest stands in the position of a wrongdoer and may be resisted by the use of force, as in self- defense.” (State v. Mobley, 240 N.C. 476, 83 S.E. 2d 100).

“One may come to the aid of another being unlawfully arrested, just as he may where one is being assaulted, molested, raped or kidnapped. Thus it is not an offense to liberate one from the unlawful custody of an officer, even though he may have submitted to such custody, without resistance.” (Adams v. State, 121 Ga. 16, 48 S.E. 910).

“Story affirmed the right of self-defense by persons held illegally. In his own writings, he had admitted that ‘a situation could arise in which the checks-and-balances principle ceased to work and the various branches of government concurred in a gross usurpation.’ There would be no usual remedy by changing the law or passing an amendment to the Constitution, should the oppressed party be a minority. Story concluded, ‘If there be any remedy at all ... it is a remedy never provided for by human institutions.’ That was the ‘ultimate right of all human beings in extreme cases to resist oppression, and to apply force against ruinous injustice.’” (From Mutiny on the Amistad by Howard Jones, Oxford University Press, 1987, an account of the reading of the decision in the case by Justice Joseph Story of the Supreme Court.

As for grounds for arrest: “The carrying of arms in a quiet, peaceable, and orderly manner, concealed on or about the person, is not a breach of the peace. Nor does such an act of itself, lead to a breach of the peace.” (Wharton’s Criminal and Civil Procedure, 12th Ed., Vol.2: Judy v. Lashley, 5 W. Va. 628, 41 S.E. 197).

You are also within your rights not to answer any questions without a lawyer present, and if possible, to demand a video recording be made of the entire encounter that you or your lawyer keep as evidence, so that federal prosecutors can't get away with charging you with making false statements to a government investigator and testilying about what you said. As a practical matter one should try to avoid relying on the above in an actual confrontation with law enforcement agents, who are likely not to know or care about any of it. Some recent courts have refused to follow these principles, and grand juries, controlled by prosecutors, have refused to indict officers who killed innocent people claiming the subject "resisted" or "looked like he might have a gun". Once dedicated to "protect and serve", far too many law enforcement officers have become brutal, lawless occupying military forces.
