A session with Khalid Khudeiry, at Imad and Nicole's, in 2002. My first performances in clubs were collaborations with Khalid as duo guitarists, back in 1980. We played original, instrumental pieces written for two guitars. We were way ahead of our time.

Abed (his civilian name, long since abandoned in favor of the more illustrious Abu El Sakher) is a spiritual guide of sorts, and presides over a pack of hardened men (I among them) who hit the beach every day of the year. This photo was taken in January 2002. Mount Sannine, clad in snow, appears over my right shoulder.
