Munir Khauli released his first tape in 1986, presenting songs that dealt with political and social issues in Lebanon, with lyrics drawn from street vernacular, popular sayings and classical Arabic, sung over music that fused Rock, Blues and Funk, threaded together with persistent humor. He performed concerts from 1987 to 2011, and 2016 saw a revival of his music via social media, and the release of several compilations of a prolific career.
