Dear Fellow Retiree,
Your Steering Council hopes everyone is well. Our planned activities for this Fall are covered in this mailing.
Our Spring events were very well attended and received. The Back to the Races event held at Tampa Bay Downs April 2nd was enjoyed by 85 retirees and guests. The Spring Golf Outing was held May 6th at the Plantation Palms Golf Club. The Centennial Celebration sponsored by IBM at the Straz Center on June 17 was attended by 547 folks including 235 retirees, spouses, and guests.
Flyers are included for the following upcoming events:
l Financial Seminar October 11
l Annual Medical Benefits Seminars November 9 and 15.
Also included is a flyer for the Florida IBM Club which serves active and retired IBMers and their families.
Events being planned for next Spring include Tax and Elder Care Seminars, Day at the Races, and the annual Spring Golf Outing
Retirees participated with active employees performing volunteer projects for the Day of Service which was part of the IBM 100 year anniversary commemoration. Retirees also contributed supplies for teachers to Teaching Tools Supplies Collections. For the 6th year, IBM volunteers will be providing mentors for students at Tinker Elementary School located on MacDill Air Force Base. The number of retirees registered with the Retiree Club has grown to 832 including 530 valid email addresses.
If you have a change to your address, email ID, phone number, etc., you can make the appropriate changes to the Club's retiree database using the website registration feature. If you know of any IBM retirees in Florida who would like to start receiving Retiree Club mailings, please encourage them to register on the website.
