SAVE THE DATES for the IBM Community Spring Golf Outing at Plantation Palms, Friday, May 6 and celebration of IBM's 100 year anniversary and 65 years in Tampa at The Straz Center, June 17 from 6 to 8PM. Also an IBM Centennial Celebration Day of Service is targeted for June 11. Active and retired IBMers around the world will be asked to perform 8 hours of community service to help commemorate IBM's 100 year milestone.
Retirees continue to partner with active IBMers in volunteering their services in the community. Volunteers collected school supplies at a Bucs game for Hillsborough Education Foundation's Teaching Tools for Hillsborough Schools. Steering Council member Donna Fryza was honored as the On Demand Community Volunteer of the Month for December 2010. She led a group that made 217 Christmas stockings for the Child Abuse Council's 2010 Holiday Store. IBM's On Demand Community is a good place for retirees to look for volunteer opportunities. A link to On Demand Community is available on the Club's website by clicking on Related Web Sites.
