The Lixan Province is a green and temperate region with many smaller cities; it is the second most populous province in Messembria.
Major cities:
Gilson – a university town, known for its festivals and laid-back culture
Tronell – terminus for the hyperloop tunnels that travel across the Escavel Sea (a marginal sea that divides the Atlas and Meridic Oceans); a center of trade, although smaller than in the north, and in previous centuries one of the first lines of defense against invading Elysian forces
Eguar – a town resembling the culture of the Pacific northwest, with an emphasis on local produce, natural medicine, eco-friendly culture, and pretentious coffee
Everwood – a very family-friendly city, as well as a popular destination for relaxing vacations; known for the beautiful scenery and mild weather
Lixa – once the location of an attempted secession from Messembria, now the home of a small minority of secessionists but also those highly loyal to Messembria – known for protesting all sorts of causes, very politically active
Dikaia – a university town, known for its medical schools; frequent destination for medical conferences
Aravon – a frequent meeting place of representatives from a wide variety of religions; known for its open and welcoming atmosphere, where religious tolerance and plurality is celebrated
Major rivers: Elrit River flowing north to Gilson, the Lixos River feeding the Lixan Sea, Jayne and Jenkins Rivers to the southwest, Austra River to the south, Serpent River to the southeast
