LEGO Digital Designer

LEGO Digital Designer was used at the start of the virtual model production for the Lego Movie.

LEGO Digital Designer (LDD) is a free program for Mac and Windows with which you can build models in a 3D computer aided design (CAD) like manner using virtual LEGO bricks. You have a build mode and build plate on which you construct your models, a view mode to view and take screen shots against different backgrounds and a building guide mode where the program will automate a set of steps to make the model. You can also upload and share your models in the Lego Digital Designer Gallery

LEGO Digital Designer is a great way to document, save and share your LEGO designs.
