“Martin King, Head of IT Services at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College spoke on Janet: What Comes Net. Martin's focus was on the topic of resilience. He began by looking at the traditional view of resilience as an organisation being "able to remain essentially the same in form and function as it is disturbed by outside forces." Based on their experience of network outages and downtimes in the college, which was largely outside their control, Martin has evolved his concept of resilience based on the thinking and biological perspective of John Hagel. Characteristically of Martin, he was inspirational and provoking the audience to think beyond what is traditionally known as resilience. “
