The new logo represents those SDA MEMBERS who are OFFSHOOTS from the original OLD SDA PROTESTANT BELIEFS (3 Angel's Messages = Rev 14:6-12).

Did you know? There are TWO "SDA" organizations?

One, the first early SDA movement, (which is still obeyed by the 144,000) and is the first Philadelphian SDA movement organized in 1863 and still running today by those who are giving the Three Angel's Messages found in Rev 14:6-12; and the "NEW ORGANIZATION" (1SM204) that was incorporated in 1904 by evil (Isaiah 9:16) early SDA

This 2nd "NEW ORGANIZATION" (1SM204) incorporated in 1904 had been growing since 1845 as Laodicean "Adventists" and had developed more fully in 1888, waxing stronger and stronger, (Ellen White had hoped the 1903 General Conference Session had fixed some of the apostate issues) but realized afterwards, that it had not fixed anything, but was continuing to grow in apostasy until these wicked men incorporated the 2nd NEW ORGANIZATION in 1904. Sister White states, the "NEW ORGANIZATION" was being MADE "like Rome, the great head of the work" (Manuscript Release #133, p 27--Letter 71, April 8, 1894).

(ALL CORPORATIONS ARE DEAD ENTITIES! aka GOVERNMENT ENTITIES) General Conference of Seventh day Adventist was being made "like Rome, the great head of the work" (Manuscript Release #133, p 27--Letter 71, April 8, 1894).

Christ our righteousness and that subject is the Truth about God and His Son vs the Trinity of Gods now worshiped by the backsliding majority of Adventists today.

This is what we are doing today - nailing up our POSTS about the sins in the SDA churches which are the ADDITIONAL MENTION of the corruptions that have been entering the SDA churches since 1844. And just as Martin Luther had to do - COME OUT - so do we have to come out of apostasy from the truth and back into the OLDS SDA BELIEFS - the 3 Angel's messages as taught by the early SDA pioneers!

"Man will rise no higher than his conceptions of truth, purity, and holiness. If the mind is never exalted above the level of humanity, if it is not uplifted by faith to contemplate infinite wisdom and love, the man will be constantly sinking lower and lower. The worshipers of false gods clothed their deities with human attributes and passions, and thus their standard of character was degraded to the likeness of sinful humanity" (CC 32.5).

Notice these quotes from our Prophetess:"It was presented before me in the following manner: A large company of heathen idolaters bore a black banner, upon which were figures of the sun, moon, and stars. This company seemed to be very fierce and angry. I was then shown another company bearing a pure white banner, upon which was written, "Purity and holiness unto the Lord." Their countenances were marked with firmness and heavenly resignation. I saw the heathen idolaters approach them, and there was a great slaughter. The Christians melted away before them; and yet the Christian company pressed the more closely together, and held the banner more firmly. As many fell, others rallied around the banner and filled their places." (Early Writings 211.3)

"A company was presented before me under the name of Seventh-day Adventists, who were advising that the banner or sign which makes us a distinctive people should not be held out so strikingly; for they claimed it was not the best policy in securing success to our institutions. This distinctive banner is to be borne through the world to the close of probation. In describing the remnant people of God, John says, "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12). This is the law and the gospel. The world and the churches are uniting in harmony in transgressing the law of God, in tearing away God's memorial, and in exalting a sabbath that bears the signature of the man of sin. But the Sabbath of the Lord thy God is to be a sign to show the difference between the obedient and the disobedient. "We are in danger of becoming a sister to fallen Babylon, of allowing our churches to become corrupted, and filled with every foul spirit, a cage for every unclean and hateful bird; and will we be clear unless we make decided movements to cure the existing evil?" {21 Manuscript Releases, page 380.1}

Identifying the Three Angels. - "Christ is coming the second time, with power unto salvation. To prepare human beings for this event, He has sent the first, second, and third angels' messages. THE CROSS IN YOUR CHURCH WAS NOT A COINCIDENCE IT DID NOT HAPPEN BY CHANCE

“The years 1996 and 1997 will go down in Seventh-day Adventist church history as the era during which our church adopted and Implemented a unified corporate image.” Ministry Magazine p. 31, July 1997. Actually the portrayal of a cross in an engraved gold medallion as a symbol of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and was given to the pope did already exist in 1977.

“The book presented was the Adventist missionary book Faith in Action, and the medallion was a gold-covered symbol of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The medallion is an engraved witness to the Adventist faith in Christ as Creator, Redeemer, and soon-coming Lord, in the cross and Bible…” Adventist Review August 11, 1977. But it was not until 1996 when it was finally implemented and adopted as a world wide, corporate identity.

There it is, the exact fulfillment of Ellen G. White's dream in Testimonies for the Church Volume 1, page 578 ( 1867 ). That this [SDA Church] will carry or raise-up the standard of Rome that portrays a pagan cross thus following the track of Romanism. Please see also Testimonies to Ministers page 362.

IS THE CROSS A CHRISTIAN SYMBOL?

“Papists place crosses upon their churches, upon their altars, and upon their garments. Everywhere is seen the insignia of the cross. Everywhere it is outwardly honored and exalted.” Great Controversy page 568

WHAT IS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH'S POWER?

ANSWER: By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of and therefore, they fondly contradict themselves by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same church.

“A virtuous woman represents a pure church, a vile woman an apostate church. Babylon is said to be harlot...” Spirit of Prophecy Vol. 4 p. 233

Mrs. White said in 1893, “at the present time,” do not call the church Babylon (Testimonies to Ministers, page 50). That was in 1893. But 10 years later, in 1903 the church became a harlot or Babylon. In 1893 it was a man [AW Stanton] who said that the church is Babylon, but in 1903 it was God through EG White who said that the SDA church is harlot or Babylon.

"I have read on their website that they say the new trademarked "logo" of the three-banded flames encircling the globe with the Bible as the foundation is the first "official" one. Regretfully, this follows all the other changes which the prophetic gift envisioned:

" The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? -- The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath, of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. We must mark well the fact that this current church is based on "human power", and "nothing would be allowed to stand in the way" of all of it. There is nothing to do but pray and remain faithful ourselves. Call it out to those requiring a thus saith the Lord.

I have seen other websites calling this an Egyptian symbol with the cross and a sphere, and the all seeing eye. I believe they are correct. This is full proof of the wrong people taking over the offices since Christ has left her.

I believe the reason "why" they have done this logo is to deface the purity of the SDA pioneer Church and make any other such naming, etc... illegal thereby empowering protection from the state.

It's been a while since I had initially posted an answer to this question. I did actually stumble upon some additional information regarding this issue.

Apparently, just before the church officially changed their logo, there were many SDA publications showing up with three wavy lines. In the occult a serpent equates to the number six and the three wavy lines had made their appearance on such publications as, Zondervan's NIV Bible, the book: Baptism, Eucharist and Ministry (BEM), and other World Council of Churches publications. Isn't it a curious matter that the SDA Church would give heed to the number 666 in their church periodicals?

God has given the Seventh-day Adventist movement, its name, its peculiar message, its distinctive mission and its banner, which are the Three Angels’ Messages.

“The banner of the third angel has inscribed upon it, ‘The commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.’ Our institutions have taken a name which sets forth the character of our faith, and of this name we are never to be ashamed. I have been shown that this name means much, and in adopting it we have followed the light given us from heaven. . . . I was told that men will employ every policy to make less prominent the difference between the faith of Seventh-day Adventists and those who observe the first day of the week. In this controversy the whole world will be engaged, and the time is short. This is no time to haul down our colors.

There used to be a time when Seventh-day Adventists churches, schools and other institutions, not to mention books, office stationery and other publications and materials, were easily identified by their logo, three angels circling the globe, representing the special messages that God has given to them to be given to the world found in Revelation 14:6-12.

Unfortunately, that time is now in the past and only but a memory; and the once distinctive logo, the banner given to Seventh-day Adventists by God Himself has been replaced with an open Bible with an apparent inverted cross protruding from it and a flame ascending from the cross, a form of the ecumenical logo that most other Babylonian churches are using to identify themselves. The adoption of this logo only symbolizes what has happened denominationally, a lowering of the banner, a removing of the pillars of truth that the movement was founded upon, an abandoning of the peculiar messages of the three angels, and an alliance with the other fallen churches. Seventh-day Adventists have removed the banner of the three angels in the attempt to obscure their peculiarity and distinctive messages.

What is sad, but unfortunately not surprising, considering the change of the name “Medical Missionary Work”—a name given by God—to “Comprehensive Health Ministry,”2 and the change from the name “Seventh-day Adventists” to just “Adventists,” that there are presently ongoing meetings proposing changes to the existing logo, not back to the original three angels logo, but rather to another form of the same ecumenical logo now being used. “The General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has announced the first change to the denomination’s corporate identity in over two decades. General Conference Communications Director Williams Costa, Jr. circulated an image of proposed changes to the Seventh-day Adventist logo graphic at the 2016 Spring Meeting of the GC Executive Committee. Costa said changes to the logo, characterized as being relatively small, will be voted during the General Conference’s 2016 Annual Council this October. The current Seventh-day Adventist corporate identity, a registered trademark of the The General Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists®, was officially adopted at the 1996 Autumn Council (now Annual Council) of the General Conference Executive Committee.”3

Admitted by those proposing and favoring the changes, this remodeling of the logo is a move to come even more in harmony with the modernized world. “The proposed modifications reflect a corporate zeitgeist that favors informal, made-for-web logo design. A sans-serif font replaces the current all-caps, serif font. Many contemporary brand overhauls have gone this route, favoring less formal modern fonts over classic typefaces.”4 Could this be yet another indication of the Seventh-day Adventist Denomination’s falling away and retreat back to the world, and away from its calling? Not only is the utter refusal of the three angels’ banner and the adoption of a new logo a rejection of God’s purpose for the Seventh-day Adventist corporate body, but it is also a denial of the Spirit of Prophecy as exercised through Ellen White.

The retaining and the upholding of the original three angels’ logo should fulfill the following account of Joshua and the Israelites crossing the Jordan. The Lord instructed them to take up and carry with them 12 stones. “That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones? Then ye shall answer them…” See Joshua 4:1-24. The original three angels’ logo embodies the three angels’ messages; it is to constantly remind God’s people of their history, surrounding the year of 1844, and what their God-given message and mission are.

Furthermore, consider the fact that the church will have to spend money to replace the old logo with the new. If this is in their plans, it is a waste and a misuse of God’s resources which should be used for publishing and proclaiming the present truth and doing aggressive evangelism for Jesus Christ.

In spite of what denominational leaders are doing and accepting, God calls upon each person, individually, to uplift and keep high the banner of the three angels, keeping God’s commandments and the faith of Jesus. “Put on the whole armor of God, and keep your eye steadily fixed on the Captain of your salvation; for there is danger ahead. Follow no false colors, but watch the banner of our holy faith, and be found where that waves, even though it be in the thickest of the fight. Soon the warfare will be over and the victory won, and if you are faithful you will come off more than conquerors through Him that has loved you. The glorious prize, the eternal weight of glory, will then be yours.”

Why was this logo changed? It was changed because they were shaken out of the Three Angel's Messages. Notice there are no longer Three Angel's on the logo. A logo is a sign, a signal to those who pay attention as to what is on the inside. Logo's are significant ways to see at a glance what is the teachings or doctrines on the inside of a business, organization or anything for that matter. Hidden in plain sight.

The Parable of the Ten Virgins, also known as the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins, is one of the well known parables of Jesus. According to the Gospel of Matthew 25:1-13, the five virgins who are prepared for the bridegroom's arrival are rewarded, while the five who are not prepared are disowned.

The Three Angel's Messages as given by the faithful, keen, noble and true early SDA protestant pioneers and is the

"The straight testimony," Ellen White wrote, "must be revived, and it will separate those from Israel who have ever been at war with the means that God has ordained (old SDA doctrines) to keep corruptions out of the church. Wrongs must be called wrongs. Grievous sins must be called by their right name". "The plain, straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body, responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them. If the leaders of the church neglect to diligently search out the sins which bring the displeasure of God upon the body, they become responsible for these sins" Ellen G. White, Testimonies for the Church (Mountain View, Calif.: Pacific Press Pub. Assn., 1948), vol. 3, p. 269.

"And in their mouth [144,000: Early SDA pioneers and those who cling to believe on and put into practice "THEIR WORD" 2SM111-112] was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God" Rev. 14:5. These make up the Philadelphian church triumphant, members of the church in Heaven. Those who go by faith into the Most Holy Place in the Heavenly Sanctuary and present exceedingly great and precious Bible verse promises to God in the name of His Son per 2 Peter 1:4.

"Those who have not had a personal experience in this work [from 1830-1894], are to take the Word of God and believe on “their word” who have been led by the Lord in the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages" Selected Messages, book 2, pages 111-112.

“The work is soon to close. The members of the church militant who have proved faithful ["We must point our people to the old landmarks" SpM 339.5.] will become the church triumphant" GCDB January 29, 1893, p. 24.5; —Letter 32, 1892.

"Those who think that the church militant (501c3 laodicean, foolish virgin, stony ground hearers SDA theological tare bundle) is the church triumphant (144,000 literal number) make a GREAT mistake." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 152.

"The members of the church triumphant--the church in heaven--will be permitted to draw near to the members of the church militant (501c3 Adventists), to aid them in their necessity." E. G. White, The Southern Watchman, Sep. 8, 1903.

The plain straight testimony is the early SDA protestant pioneers writings, which are the writings of the 144,000. The Bride of Christ for eternity. Who would reject the writings of those who number a part of the 144,000? A part of the literal 144,000 number are the faithful, keen, noble and true early SDA pionners like Elder James S. White, Elder J. N. Andrews, Elder Joseph Bates, Elder Stephen Haskell, Elder Josiah Litch, Elder Hiram Edson, Father Pierce and so many more! Those who love the truth more than life itself will NOT reject the early PROTESTANT SDA doctrines setup in the beginning of Adventism. The straight testimony is all of the old Protestant SDA pioneers writings. The writings of those early SDA pioneers who make up a part of the 144,000 number, and are the Bride of Christ.

“I have had presentations regarding the deceptions that Satan is bringing in at this time. I have been instructed that we should make prominent the testimony of some of the old workers who are now dead. Let them continue to speak through their articles as found in the early numbers of our papers. These articles should now be reprinted, that there may be a living voice from the Lord’s witnesses. The history of the early experiences in the message will be a power to withstand the masterly ingenuity of Satan’s deceptions. This instruction has been repeated recently. I must present before the people the testimonies of Bible truth, and repeat the decided messages given years ago. I desire that my sermons given at camp meetings and in churches may live and do their appointed work.—Letter 99, 1905. {Ellen White, 1905, Counsels to Writers and Editors, page 26}.

“When the power of God testifies as to what is truth, that truth is to stand forever as the truth. No after-suppositions, contrary to the light God has given are to be entertained. Men will arise with interpretations of Scripture which are to them truth, but which are NOT truth. The truth for this time, God has given us as a foundation for our faith. He Himself has taught us what is truth. One will arise, and still another, with new light which contradicts the light that God has given under the demonstration of His Holy Spirit. A few are still alive who passed through the experience gained in the establishment of this truth. God has graciously spared their lives to repeat and repeat till the close of their lives, the experience through which they passed even as did John the apostle till the very close of his life. And the standard- bearers who have fallen in death, are to speak through the reprinting of their writings. I am instructed that thus their voices are to be heard. "The Lord has declared that the history of the past shall be rehearsed as we enter upon the closing work. Every truth that He has given for these last days is to be proclaimed to the world. Every pillar that He has established is to be strengthened. We cannot now step off the foundation that God has established. 144,000 vs those who reject the belief of who God and His Son are and reject the Investigative Judgement/Heavenly Sanctuary Doctrine and eventually the 7th day Sabbath Third Angel's Message

Those who believe/practice/share all Three Angel's Messages (Rev 14:6-12) vs modern SDA church who has through it's leaders rejected the three Anti-Catholic doctrine messages. In 1975, World General Conference President Neil C. Wilson said in court that SDA's anti-catholic Three Angels Messages has been "thrown on the historical trash heap" EEOC vs PPPA and GC, Civil Case #74-2025 CBR (1975).

The Three Angel's Logo represents the old landmarks written down for us today by the early SDA pioneers from 1830-1894 who are a part of the 144,000. WHY, pray tell, WOULD ANYONE want to reject the messages written down by the 144,000??? The writings of the early Protestant SDA pioneers like James S. and Ellen G. Think about this for a second. A long second. Today, we still can become a part of this literal number, 144,000. Because we live under the time frame of the THIRD ANGEL'S MESSAGE FOUND IN REVELATION 14:9-12 for the house of God...probation closes for the house of God at the Sunday law...as SDA's make their choice for or against the law of God regarding the Sunday law and who they worship - either the 1980 gods of Adventism or the 1830-1894 God of the early SDA Protestant pioneers, the 144,000's God.

The door of probation closes for certain individuals prior to that because some will die before the Sunday law is passed. We must live each day as if it is our last. So we must be doing all the truth/light that we know or had opportunity to know.

"The passing of the time in 1844 was a period of great events, opening to our astonished eyes the cleansing of the sanctuary transpiring in heaven, and having decided relation to God's people upon the earth, [also] the first and second angels’ messages and the third, unfurling the banner on which was inscribed, “The commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” One of the landmarks under this message was the temple of God, seen by His truth-loving people in heaven, and the ark containing the law of God. The light of the Sabbath of the fourth commandment flashed its strong rays in the pathway of the transgressors of God's law. The nonimmortality of the wicked is an old landmark. I can call to mind nothing more that can come under the head of the old landmarks. All this cry about changing the old landmarks is all imaginary" CW 30.2.

“It is Satan's plan to weaken the faith of God's people in the Testimonies.” “Satan knows how to make his attacks. He works upon minds to excite jealousy and dissatisfaction toward those at the head of the work. The gifts are next questioned; then, of course, they have but little weight, and instruction given through vision is disregarded.” “Next follows skepticism in regard to the vital points of our faith, the pillars of our position, then doubt as to the Holy Scriptures, and then the downward march to perdition. When the Testimonies, which were once believed, are doubted and given up, Satan knows the deceived ones will not stop at this; and he redoubles his efforts till he launches them into open rebellion, which becomes incurable and ends in destruction” Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 672.1 (Ellen G. White).

"...there is a removing of the landmarks (the Three Angel's Messages given during the first 50 years of Adventism), and an attempt to tear down the pillars of our faith--then a more decided effort is made to exalt the false sabbath, and to cast contempt upon God Himself by supplanting the day He has blessed and sanctified" Selected Messages, book 3, p 405-406.

The New SDA logo represents those who are members of the SDA organization today who have REJECTED the old landmarks from 1830-1894, the writings of the 144,000... The writings of James & Ellen White, J. N. Andrews, Joseph Bates, Joseph Marsh and all the other Protestant early SDA pioneers!

In the process of studying end time events in the writings of Ellen G. White, the phrase "the straight testimony" comes to one's attention.

Following is probably one of most commonly read quotations that uses the term "the straight testimony:"

I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God's people. {EW 270.2}

The word Straight can be defined as being: candid, honest, undiluted, accurate, to the point, direct. Testimony means evidence, witnesses, statement, authentication, proof, divine decree, solemn declaration. In context of the above quotation, the straight testimony then, is a direct divine decree. It is accurate, and it comes with the authority of heaven standing behind it. And it is extremely important because we are told that it is "the solemn testimony upon which the destiny of the church hangs" CCh 338.5.

It is significant to note that the giving of the straight testimony causes the shaking! We understand the shaking to be a separating experience in God's church triumphant as we near the end. We are told that many will be shaken out of the early SDA's pioneer truths, while many others will come in during the outpouring of the latter rain, and the loud cry.

The light given me has been very forcible that many would go out from us (the truth as given by the early SDA pioneers writings from 1830-1894), giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils" 2SM 392.2.

The shaking, or sifting, is a time of purification of the church, the Church in Heaven, the Church Triumphant. God will purge the church triumphant of those who are not truly converted, who do not believe on "their word", the words of the early SDA pioneers like Elder James S. White, Elder Stephen N. Haskell and many more.

"But the days of purification of the church are hastening on apace. God will have a people pure and true. In the mighty sifting soon to take place, we shall be better able to measure the strength of Israel. The signs reveal that the time is near when the Lord will manifest that his fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor. There are few really consecrated men among us; few who have fought and conquered in the battle with self" PH117 62.2.

It is indeed a sobering fact to realize that the majority of militant church members are not ready for this crises:

In the last vision given me, I was shown the startling fact that but a small portion of those who now profess the truth will be sanctified by it and be saved. {1T 608.3}

The possibility of being shaken out of God's church triumphant, the church in Heaven right at the very end should be a terrifying thought. It is a tragedy to be avoided at all costs! We must make certain that we are not shaken out of the truth as taught by our early SDA pioneers like James S. White, Ellen White, Stephen Haskell, Joseph Bates and more!

We are coming to a crisis, and I am in terror for our souls. Why is it that we find men leaving the faith? Are we in a position where we shall know what we believe, and shall not be shaken out? {YRP 129.4}

In order not to be shaken out, we need to make sure we do not rise up against the straight testimony. Rising up against this straight testimony is equivalent to being eternally lost! All church members should be asking themselves - how can I make sure I won't rise up against the straight testimony! The testimony of the early SDA pioneers, like Elder James S. White, Elder Stephen N. Haskell, Elder Joseph Bates, and many more.

The straight testimony must be revived, and it will separate those from Israel who have ever been at war with the means that God has ordained to keep corruptions out of the church. Wrongs must be called wrongs. Grievous sins must be called by their right name. All of God's people should come nearer to Him and wash their robes of character in the blood of the Lamb. Then will they see sin in the true light and will realize how offensive it is in the sight of God" 3T 324.1.

What exactly is the straight testimony? The straight testimony is also called the Laodicean message, or the counsel of the True Witness. It is summarized in Revelation 3:14-18. It is a message from God for His people especially in these last days. It is the books, articles and sermons written by our early SDA pioneers, their doctrines, their testimony. WE ARE TO BELIEVE ON "THEIR WORD"!

The message to the Laodicean Church is appropriate to the church at this time: "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore and repent." There are many who are priding themselves upon their spiritual riches, their knowledge of the truth, and are living in guilty self-deception. When the members of the church humble themselves before God by zealous, not half-hearted, lifeless action, the Lord will receive them. But he declares, "I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." How long shall this warning be resisted? How long shall it be slighted? {RH, December 23, 1890 par. 14}

The True Witness says, "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot." And again, "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous, therefore, and repent." Then comes the promise, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." "To him that overcometh, will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." {RH, September 16, 1873 par. 23}

The revival of the straight testimony will remove everything that hinders our connection with Jesus.

There must be a revival of the strait testimony. The path to Heaven is no smoother now than in the days of our Saviour. All our sins must be put away. Every darling indulgence that hinders our religious life must be cut off. The right eye or the right hand must be sacrificed, if it cause us to offend. Are we willing to renounce our own wisdom, and to receive the kingdom of Heaven as a little child? Are we willing to part with self-righteousness? Are we willing to give up our chosen worldly associates? Are we willing to sacrifice the approbation of men? The prize of eternal life is of infinite value. Will we put forth efforts and make sacrifices proportionate to the worth of the object to be attained? {PH001 6.3}

The straight testimony, or the plain testimony, refers to the testimonies given by God to this church through the writings of Elder James S. White, Sister Ellen G. White, Elder J. N. Andrews, Elder Joseph Bates, Elder Stephen Haskell, Elder Josiah Litch, Elder Hiram Edson, Father Pierce and so many more! Those who love the truth more than life itself will NOT reject the early PROTESTANT SDA doctrines setup in the beginning of Adventism. Those who permit themselves to rise in opposition to the plain testimony, become self-deceived, and have really thought that those upon whom God laid the burden of His work were exalted above the people of God, and that their counsels and reproofs were uncalled for. They have risen in opposition to the plain testimony which God would have them bear in rebuking the wrongs among God's people. {CD 428.2}

Several times she refers to the message God gave her to bear as the straight testimony.

I have no desire to hurt the soul of any one, but I must bear the straight testimony given me. {LLM 43.7}

I am now charged to write out the straight testimony which was given to me Monday night. I am to withhold none of it. {LLM 164.5}

But some of those who know of my experience, and who have had all the evidence that the Lord will ever give them, evade the truth when the straight testimonycomes to rebuke some of their plans. {13MR 122.1}

This company who bound themselves together by cords of unsanctified sympathy would not receive reproof and counsel. The straight testimony was irksome to them" PH159 179.1.

I have been instructed to give a message of warning to our churches in Oakland and Berkeley. Many who love self-indulgence and who murmur at the straight testimony of the Laodicean message, are ignorant of how sinful their actions really are" 18MR 232.1.

It was a great cross for me to relate to the erring what had been shown me concerning them. It caused me great distress to see others troubled and grieved. And when obliged to declare the messages, I would often soften them down, and make them appear as favorable for the individual as I could, and then would go by myself and weep in agony of spirit. I looked upon those who seemed to have only their own souls to care for, and thought if I were in their condition I would not murmur. It was hard to relate the plain, cutting testimonies given me of God. I anxiously watched the result, and if the persons reproved rose up against the reproof, and afterward opposed the truth, these queries arose in my mind: Did I deliver the message just as I should? Could there not have been some way to save them? And then such distress pressed upon my soul that I often felt that death would be a welcome messenger, and the grave a sweet resting place.LSMS 139.1

The Sin of Unfaithfulness

I did not realize that I was unfaithful in thus questioning and doubting, and did not see the danger and sin of such a course, until in vision I was taken into the presence of Jesus. He looked upon me with a frown, and turned His face from me. It is not possible to describe the terror and agony I felt. I fell upon my face before him, but had no power to utter a word. Oh, how I longed to be covered and hid from that dreadful frown! Then could I realize, in some degree, what the feelings of the lost will be when they cry, “Mountains and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the lamb.” LSMS 139.2

What is it about this message that would cause many to resist it?

While these evils remain untouched everything passes along smoothly, but when the straight testimony comes and reproof and rebuke are given, there is a rising up against the straight testimony. It does not agree with the carnal mind, their carnal security is disturbed, they resist the work of God, and some will fall off. {15MR 330.1}

We can see that those who are not fully converted, those who are not willing to subdue the carnal mind, will resist the straight testimony and rise up against it.

Only those who are willing to habitually abide in Christ, and are continually surrendering their wills to God, will be receptive to the straight testimony.

Jesus must abide in the heart; and where He is, the carnal desires will be subdued and be kept in subjection by the operation of the Spirit of God" ST, June 6, 1892 par. 5.

The straight testimony is specifically designed to disturb our carnal security.

God's plan is not to send messengers who will please and flatter sinners, He delivers no messages of peace to lull the unsanctified into carnal security. But He lays heavy burdens upon the conscience of the wrong-doer, and pierces his soul with sharp arrows of conviction. {ST, February 12, 1880 par. 25}

Thank God that He cares enough about us to alert us to our need! The straight testimony is a loving gift from Jesus, because He wants to prepare us to live with Him forever! His rebuke is evidence of His love! Praise God for His startling denunciation!

The message to the church of the Laodiceans is a startling denunciation, and is applicable to the people of God at the present time. {3T 252.1}

Who are the self-admitted Laodiceans?

Who ARE the "Laodiceans" today? Let's let the Laodiceans themselves answer the question:

“Today we hesitate to claim we’re the remnant; but as for Laodicea, that’s us! Us alone!...No other Christian group vies with us for the dubious privilege of being identified with it….claiming exclusive rights to Laodicea is not politically incorrect. So, unchallenged, we’ve become anchored in the view that Seventh-day Adventists are the sole group envisioned in the apocalyptic concept of that term” Adventist Review, August 28, 2008, p 5.

So, they are pretty sure of who they are.

Let's see what the Prophetess says about Laodiceans in 1899:

1899: “The Laodicean message applies to ALL who PROFESS to keep the law of God, and yet are not doers of it” Ellen White, RH October 17, 1899, par. 3.

Laodicea does not represent the true Adventists, it represents Adventists who have not walked in the light, nominal Adventists, or professed Adventists. Joseph Bates once wrote this plainly…

The Laodicean message must be given with earnestness and power, as a message from heaven. {SpTB02 20.1}

"And I beheld another beast ("ANOTHER religious body" 4SOP277.2) coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns [Republicanism and Protestantism] like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed (healed: Sept 24, 2015 when Jesuit Pope addressed joint sessions of Congress/lawmakers)" —(Revelation 13:11-12 emphasis added). As seen in the passage above, the power ("ANOTHER religious body" 4SOP277.2) would have at first lamb-like qualities = characteristics (pure truth), but would change leaders to speak like a dragon (false doctrines). This means that the "religious body" must first have the attributes of Christ, but that it would relinquish these in favor of attributes or characteristics of the dragon. Then a remnant escapes from this "another religious body" to JOIN the wedding party procession that has been in progress since October 22, 1844! God has been picking a bride for His own Son from among His faithful Adventist's since Oct 22, 1844. We should strive with all our might to be among the 144,000. The 144,000 are the Bride of Christ.
