sda warning

"God will arouse His people; if other means fail, heresies will come in among them, which will sift them, spreading the chaff from the wheat" Gospel Workers, p. 299.

I have been instructed to warn our people; for many are in danger of receiving theories and sophistries that undermine the foundation pillars of the faith{Selected Messages bk. 1 p.196 1904}.

“We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past history” (Life Sketches, p. 196.

"The history of the early experiences in the message will be a power to withstand the masterly ingenuity of Satan’s deceptions" Ellen White, Letter 99, 1905.

"God is either teaching His church, reproving their wrongs and strengthening their faith, or He is not. This work is of God, or it is not. God does nothing in partnership with Satan. My work... bears the stamp of God or the stamp of the enemy. There is no halfway work in the matter. The Testimonies are of the Spirit of God, or of the devil" (4T 230).

"Do not by your criticisms take out all the force, all the point and power, from the Testimonies. Do not feel that you can dissect them to suit your own ideas, claiming that God has given you ability to discern what is light from heaven and what is the expression of mere human wisdom. If the Testimonies speak not according to the Word of God, reject them. Christ and Belial cannot be united." (5T 691)

"In the testimonies sent to __________ I have given you the light God has given to me. In no case have I given my own judgment or opinion. I have enough to write of what has been shown me, without falling back on my own opinions." (Testimonies to Battle Creek Church, 1882, p.58)

The “Very Last Deception of Satan” "The very last deception of Satan will be to make of none effect the testimony of the Spirit of God. ‘Where there is no vision, the people perish’ (Proverbs 29:18). Satan will work ingeniously, in different ways and through different agencies, to unsettle the confidence of God's remnant people in the true testimony." (Maranatha, p. 158 [LDE 77])

We are to believe on "THEIR WORD", the word, the TESTIMONIES, the experiences of the faithful early SDA pioneers in the work from 1830-1894. The testimonies of Elder James S. White, Ellen G. White, Elder Joseph Bates, Elder Stephen N. Haskell, Elder Otis Nichols, Elder J. N. Andrews, Father William Miller, Elder Apollos Hale, Elder Charles Fitch, Elder William Farnsworth, Elder Hiram Edson, Elder Sylvester Bliss and many more listed here.

"those who have not had a personal experience in this work, are to take the Word of God and believe on “their word” who have been led by the Lord in the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages". Selected Messages Book 2, p. 111.2 (Ellen G. White).
