Here's a very interesting story of a English teacher and her student diagramming Matthew 28:19:
Why My English Teacher Wanted To Be Baptized In Jesus Name!
Ms. DeGroote, as she wished to be called, was from France and she taught my senior year English class at South Bend Central High. She was 63 and referred to herself as a spinster. We had more creative names for her. Most of the students dreaded her classes. We were taught diction and enunciation with a heavy French accent. It seemed to make learning to speak proper English an impossibility with her as the instructor. By much effort I received the only A in her class both semesters.
My class was filled with Catholic students. South Bend, Indiana still is a predominately Catholic town. Its claim to fame is the University of Notre Dame. I was the only non-Catholic in the class.
Ms. DeGroote was a stern woman who tolerated no-nonsense in any of her classes. I was highly confined in her restrictive and controlled environment.
During the course, we had many weeks of conjugation and diagramming sentences. Somehow the nerd in me found those subjects easy and interesting. No, that is not normal, but it happened nevertheless. (I knew I was a nerd and not a geek, because geeks make more money than nerds.)
One day Ms. DeGroote said, “Now students, tomorrow I want you to bring to class a sentence or sentences that you have diagrammed. You may go to the board and diagram your sentence, and I will correct your paper. Or, I will go to the board and diagram your sentence while you correct the paper.
For the life of me, I could not think of a sentence to diagram. Especially since the whole class would see. Then it dawned on me. What better sentence in the world to diagram! I went home, picked up my Bible, and copied Mt. 28:19 down. I proceeded to diagram the verse. This just had to be right.
The next day couldn’t come soon enough. I was ready for class. When 3rd period English finally arrived I knew I would be the second one called on. Everything in the class was by alphabet. Even our seating was arranged that way. I set behind Adams. We were all called by our last names.
When Adams was called on, he went to the chalkboard and almost got his correct. Ms. DeGroote sat at his empty desk and corrected his paper while he was at the board. When he finished, I heard “Ballestero!”
“I would like you to go to the board and diagram my sentence, and I will correct my own paper,” I said to Ms. DeGroote.
She said, “Read me your sentence.”
“It’s a Bible verse, if that’s OK,” I ventured.
She nodded and I read my Scripture.
Matthew 28:19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
“Go ye therefore (comma)” I said.
Ms. DeGroote prefaced her work with a (you) in front of the word “Go”.
When I read the verse aloud, I paused on the word “name,” while I waited for her to catch up.
“Of the Father,” I said.
“Now, here we have a prepositional phrase modifying the word name. At this point we do not know yet what the name of the person is, but we do know by this prepositional phrase, that whoever this person is, they are a Father,” she said.
She then drew the appropriate lines on her diagram.
“Of the Son,” I continued.
“Now we know, that this person is both a Father and a Son, but we still don’t have a name.”
“Ms. DeGroote,” a girl named Williams called out with her hand in the air. “Aren’t Father and Son names?”
“They’re just descriptive titles. They tell us something about the name, but they don’t tell us His name, they are only titles.” was her answer.
She again drew the second prepositional phrase on the board.
“Of the Holy Ghost.” I continued.
After the 3rd prepositional phrase was in place, my teacher looked carefully at the diagram on the board from end to end. She shook her head. “All we know here is that whoever this person is, they are a Father, a Son, and they are the Holy Ghost! But we still don’t know what the name is.”
“Martyn,” she said looking at me carefully, “What is the name?”
I had been waiting for this moment. I stood, and gently said, “Jesus is the name!”
Ms DeGroote looked at her writing on the board. Then she turned back to me with her arms wide in surrender. With a heavy French accent, my Catholic English teacher said, “I guess I need to be baptized in Jesus name!”
“Yes!” I said as I pulled my upraised clinched fist down from my chin area. The other 30 students in the class clapped. I did a modest jig in the class aisle myself.

Acts 2:38 (KJV) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 4:12 (KJV) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Since Ellen White who I believe is a true blue Prophetess of God quotes Matthew 28:19, I believe it is true, meaning that Matthew 28:19 is not an interpolation. Having said that, I can tell you that she also said this: "WE WANT THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST.” {Lt66-1894 (April 10, 1894) par. 18} - EGW. That quote just scratches the surface for the hundreds of times she states this plainly. Here is another one, that most people who want to try to enter into heaven through a window instead of the only Way, the door miss: "Christ is waiting with longing desire for the manifestation of Himself in His church" COL p. 69. WHO? Is Christ waiting for a manifestation of in His church? HIMSELF not some other being called "God the Holy Spirit" who you must admit if you are candid is NOT Jesus Christ. But another Spirit, another Jesus and another Gospel per 2 Cor 11:3-4. Since we can enter into Heaven only "THROUGH ME" John 14:6. Christ IS the ONLY Way, the TRUTH and the Life. See John 14:20.

For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 10:17

So back to COL p. 69... Our body, our physical body is what is being used by either Christ or Satan to inhabit by their Spirit - we, our bodies ARE what is being fought over by Christ and Satan. It is a war like no other. Which Spirit gets to inhabit our body. Well, brother and sister, I want MY body to be a temple, a host, a channel, a medium WHERE MY FRIEND JESUS LIVES, NOT SOME OTHER BEING. My body is a temple, where my friend Jesus lives!
1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus". It does not say here that there is another Comforter besides Jesus Christ, but the comforter IS Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is physically in Heaven, right now, in the Most Holy Place and He sends us HIS OWN SPIRIT, HIS OWN RISEN LIFE, HIS OWN CHARACTER, THE LAW OF GOD, the LIVING LAW of God IS the Holy Spirit IN US...CHRIST HIMSELF is the HOLY SPIRIT. CHRIST HIMSELF is the LIVING LAW of GOD. The LAW of God has simply changed forms...from being written on STONE to being written on the fleshy tables of our hearts. "Our heart" MEANS OUR daily little choices! Our daily little choices are constrained by Jesus Christ Himself as the living law of God when we surrender and accept Christ HIMSELF as our peace. When we claim John 6:37 "Him that cometh unto ME I will in no wise cast out". WHO are we to come and submit ourselves to? Christ! How do we become partakers of Christ's Divine nature? By claiming Bible verse promises per 2 Peter 1:4!!!!
"Whereby are GIVEN unto us exceeding great and precious PROMISES: that by THESE ye might be PARTAKERS of the divine nature [character], having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" 2 Peter 1:4.
Now, back to the original text that started this post. Matthew 28:19. To me, this text screams Jesus Christ. Why? Because if you have a right concept of who God and His Son are in your mind, you will see the truth - the beautiful truth of Jesus Christ and His Father and God per John 17:3 and Jer 9:24.
Here's the truth, the plain simple truth. That particular verse is only ABOUT Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ from the tomb has been MADE a FATHER, like His own Father. So there are two Father's. Now the reason there are TWO Father's is Jesus has been made the Father of a NEW RACE of PEOPLE. A SIN-FREE RACE OF PEOPLE FROM THE CROSS FORWARD. Since He was raised from the dead by His own Father and God. There is ONLY ONE BEING in this whole UNIVERSE who is BOTH HUMAN AND DIVINE. That man is Jesus Christ. No one else and the Spirit that proceeds from Jesus Christ is today - both human and divine. Divinity BLENDED with Humanity since His conception. "A body thou hast prepared me" Hebrews 10:5.
The Son is 'the everlasting Father,' not of himself, nor of his Father, but of his children. His language is, 'I and the children which God hath given me.' Heb. 2:13.
We, those who KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD and the FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST are the inheritance God has GIVEN HIS SON to be HIS INHERITANCE FOREVER!
Jesus has been MADE a FATHER of a new race, a sin free race of people who are being MADE holy or righteous by faith in Jesus Christ, not some one else called "God the Holy Spirit" who is really Semiramis the Queen of Heaven that the ancient Israelite's worshiped as Ashtoreth or ISIS, there are many names for these false gods. Which all stem back to Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz after the flood. These false gods have simply been given Biblical "sounding" names today to deceive if possible the very elect.
The Elect of God are the 144,000. The MOTHER of God's people. Those who become a part of the 144,000 believe in the Sanctuary doctrine - this is the bridal chamber or "chuppa" or "huppa" where Christ receives His Kingdom, His Bride. Those who are keeping the 7th day Sabbath under the Third Angel's message timeframe. Those who do not reject the Three Angel's Messages given to Adventist's in the very beginning of it's inception. Those who do not reject, but rather endorse and do the old Adventist beliefs and doctrines...this includes the truth about God and His Son!
So to delve even deeper into Matthew 28:19:
"He chose to give us birth through the Word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created" James 1:18.
Jesus said "I am the truth" John 14:6.
"thy law is the truth" Psalm 119:142.
"the truth of the Lord endureth for ever" Psalm 117:2. "Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord" Joshua 24:14.
"Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart [daily choices]: for consider how great things he hath done for you" 1 Samuel 12:24.
"That the Lord may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel" 1 Kings 2:4.

WHO IS THE WORD OF TRUTH? JESUS CHRIST NOT ANOTHER BEING CALLED "GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT"!!! God the Father of Christ chose to GIVE US BIRTH through HIS SON JESUS CHRIST!
"And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God" Rev 19:13.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" Isaiah 9:6.
Christ is called the MIGHTY GOD and the GOD AND FATHER of Jesus Christ is called the "ALMIGHTY GOD". “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to MY FATHER: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto MY FATHER, and YOUR FATHER; and to MY GOD, and YOUR GOD” John 20:17.
1 Corinthians 8:5-6 (KJV) 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
"Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin; for he that hath died is justified from sin. But if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him; knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him. God the Father of His Son has MADE His Son a quickening Spirit, the second Adam per 1 Cor 15:45. The Son of God who became His Son in a NEW SENSE per Heb 10:5 "a body thou has prepared me". This body is inhabited by the Spirit of God the Father - the Father IS IN THE SON per John 14:20 and the Son of God is in us and we in the Son of God. "And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's" 1 Corinthians 3:23.

"It may be objected, If the Father and the Son are two distinct beings, do you not, in worshipping the Son and calling him God, break the first commandment of the decalogue? "No; it is the Father's will 'That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father.' We cannot break the commandment and dishonor God by obeying him. The Fathers says of the Son, 'Let all the angels of God worship him.' Should angels refuse to worship the Son, they would rebel against the Father. Children inherit the name of their Father. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" 2 Timothy 2:15. Even 2 Tim 2:15 shows us there are two Fathers - two Fathers of truth - "RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH".
God is the Father of Christ. Christ is the Father of us, the inheritance God has GIVEN HIS SON forever. Christ MAKES us Righteous. Of ourselves we can do NOTHING.
Come, let us reason together. So, I believe Matthew 28:19 is the truth, but it is all talking about Christ. Christ is a Father. Christ is the Son. Christ is the Holy Spirit of a NEW RACE of people, a sin free people. YET CHRIST IS SUBJECT TO HIS OWN FATHER and GOD!
Matthew 11:27 "All things have been handed over to me by My Father..."
"And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all." 1 Corinthians 15:28 (KJV)
1 Corinthians 15:24 "Then the end will come, when he (Jesus) hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he (Jesus) has destroyed all dominion, authority and power." King James Version (KJV) "Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power." Amplified Bible (AMP) "After that comes the end (the completion), when He (Jesus) delivers over the kingdom to God the Father after rendering inoperative and abolishing every [other] rule and every authority and power."
Christ Himself is daily advancing in the plans laid out for Him by His own Father - just as we are to be daily advancing in the plans laid out for us by our Father Jesus Christ. We are to ask for anything of the God and Father of Christ in the name of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.
“He (1 Cor 8:6 "to us there is but one God, the Father") that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" Rom. 8:32.
"In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you" John 16:23 NIV.
"In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf" John 16:26.
"And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you" John 16:23 KJV.
"In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you" John 16:23 NIV.
"In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf" John 16:26.
"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Luke 11:13 KJV.
Ask for the Holy Spirit! WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST! Jesus IS the truth, the way and the LIFE!!! Jesus Christ is the living law GIVEN by God Himself to us to live in our daily choices.
