Make Videos

Starting in 2019: I use an iPad Pro and an apple pencil to make my videos with Explain Everything, and then upload them. I learn as I go along and haven't made any recently.

Before 2019: To make my math videos, I use a convertible Tablet PC--you can find some on the web by googling Dell, Fujitsu, Lenovo, etc. Apparently the Microsoft Surface works well. I'm not sure what is on the market right now. You can search Tablet PC.  I also use a Logitech headphone that has a microphone. It has a USB plug. A Tablet PC is a laptop computer, but the screen swivels (or the keyboard can be unattached) and then you close it so that the writing screen is up. That is called Tablet mode as it's like a writing tablet. There is a special electronic pen used to write directly on the screen. This is not like an iPad or tablets...a Tablet PC and writing pen is much more precise. Windows Journal is the program (included on all or most Tablet PCs) that I use for the whiteboard and I capture the video using Camtasia (which you have to buy) but there are other options such as Jing, etc. I personally like to be able to write directly on the screen, and I like a precise writing tool, so the current "tablets" like the iPad don't work for me. I wish Apple made a Tablet PC, but they apparently aren't interested. (I NOW USE THE iPAD Pro.)
