1/28/10: I wanted to start out by letting you know that I really have enjoyed your videos. You are very helpful and appreciate the various examples and also appreciate how you explain in laymen's terms. I find that some videos or people rush through things without considering the general audience.

I also wanted to add that I'm also a lover of dance, as I used to be a professional ballet dancer. I currently teach ballroom in the Chicago Public School and love teaching kids. Hi Julie.

I'm 46. In studying for a certification exam in the irrigation industry (landscape sprinkler systems), I found that a lot of the equations used pricked some painful math memories from high school and college. My wife has an old algebra workbook (by Frankenstein, yes, that's her last name!) which I started working with. I had questions, and Google led me to your videos. I wish I learned math in the internet age! Your videos, plus working without a bored and frustrated teacher ("What do you mean you don't get it?"), has allowed me to truly understand it. Plus it's fun. Some people do crosswords, I've lately been doing quadratics.

I go to school this summer for trig classes (Unfortunately I failed my trig in my last semester as I paid more, more time to programming, photoshopping/video editing etc. - my major subjects as an IT student) and I find your vids really helpful. 8/7/14: Thanks Mathgal. I'm in my late fifties and was never good at math but I liked math and wished I was better at it. As an undergraduate I devoted a summer for statistics alone cause I knew it was going be a challenge. I actually got through grad school without taking another math class (hint: social sciences). Just LOVE your videos, Julie! Went and bought myself a whiteboard, dry erase markers and a little wash cloth to wipe it clean with. Have been working my way methodically through your algebra and intermediate algebra videos, over on yourmathgal.com. This has been a Godsend. I've graduated highschool. Even did a few semesters of college; but mostly I homeschool myself, now - having issues with paying exorbitant costs, for 2 or 4 years of college. 9/20/12 Unit Conversion 1 - linear: Julie, I know this sounds a tad crazy, but I have a chemistry exam next week, this kind of stuff is going to be on it, and you just explained it in a way that actually made sense to me. 9/14/11 Unit Conversion 2 - linear: Oh my goodness! I thought I was so clueless when you started out with1 km on the last conversion. My weak point has always been math so when you didn't use 3 I just stared erasing everything. It's so cool how you some one Jehovah made as smart as you does not get ashamed when you make a mistake. You are so great and because of your videos I have learned so much and I am passing every bit of it on to my four son from age eight to age 15. Thank Jehovah my sons have you as their tutor. By the way Mrs. Harland since i have been learning from your videos, I have decided to enroll in college because you helped me realize I can learn with the right tools.
