Happy New Year 2015

Jakob moved to Oakland with his girlfriend Michelle after returning from an epic, long trip to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, etc. He is working at Guitar Center, and sending out resumes for more interesting music industry jobs.

This time last year, we enjoyed a great family trip traveling in Thailand--we rode motorbikes, pet tigers, rode elephants, saw Temples, Buddha statues, ate at outdoor markets, got massages, saw monkeys, and enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings.

Ian graduated in jazz studies performance on vibes from San Diego State last week. We are SO proud of him. He had an awesome masters recital at 98 Bottles jazz club in November, and 80 or so people showed up. It was a great time. He is busy playing gigs, and we'll see what happens next. 

John and I are way too busy teaching, but are also practicing hot yoga, as well as dancing. We are still in the Temple Band, and love it. We also take little trips here and there--Big Sur, trip to the Bay area to see kids, etc. Below is a pic of Jakob & Kira as we rode through San Francisco together this past fall.

Kira is a junior as a UC Berkeley math major, is on the ski (snowboard?) team, plays flute in a jazz combo, does Improv, works and lives in a co-op, and who knows what else. She hiked the Lost Coast with John last May, and worked the entire summer as the art person at a family camp. That girl is busy.
