I got home around midnight, and was home alone for the day. First thing I did was go on my computer to answer emails, teach my online class, etc. Next thing I knew it was 1:30 am. So I fed and played with the cats, then went to bed.
I woke up around 6 am, and thought forget that. Eventually, I got up around 9:30 am, made coffee, fed the cats, etc. I originally thought I might go to a lecture at noon, but I had a concert at 7 pm, so figured this was my day to finally take a walk (after a 3 week hiatus) and write my sabbatical report. But I also had to cancel flights on Southwest by noon so that was on my mind. I was waiting to call my husband to make sure he and my son were driving, not flying home. And so there I was online again, obsessively checking for and sending emails/announcements to students, trying to encourage them to do their work, rewriting info on my webpages to clarify things more, answering lots of questions, as well as checking for personal and other school related emails, and of course checking Facebook occasionally.
In the late morning, the doorbell rang indicating the laser pointer I ordered from Amazon came, so I took a break to play with the cats. Finally...a way to get the cats to exercise. It was so cool I ordered another one so two of us could do it at once.
And I thought...the life of a cat is so much simpler!
