Chapter 5

USE ANOTHER BROWSER TO SEE ALL OF MY VIDEOS.

See videos in order, or for particular sections in the textbook called Algebra, a combined approach, 4th edition, by Martin-Gay. The labeling of each video (5V1, 5V2, etc.) was for students in my online class when I taught using that text.

The pdf attachment at bottom is a review for a Test over Systems of Equations and Polynomials. The word attachment has problems covering Systems of Equations, and gives links to my webpages to study Polynomials. The pdf shows what problems are on all of the videos on this page.

Videos on Scientific Notation (these are not required for students)  Only videos with a label like 5V8 and 5V9 are required for Video notebook.

Multiply by powers of 10: This is preparing for an introduction to Scientific Notation. In this video, we multiply numbers by powers of 10 when the exponents are positive. http://youtu.be/67Lu2LJ5f2I

Mult by neg powers of 10: In this video, we multiply numbers by powers of 10 when the exponents are negative. http://youtu.be/UGS42iEHGxs

How to Write a number in Scientific Notation: http://youtu.be/d7Xpxm3uh1s

How to Multiply numbers in Scientific Notation: http://youtu.be/vKleHlbcMSE

How to Divide numbers in Scientific Notation: http://youtu.be/AlHaA3ubIII

5.3 and 5.4 are a review of polynomials, terms, and adding and subtracting polynomials, which is a review of adding like terms. These topics are covered in the videos for Chapter 1, sections 1.7 and 1.8. Watch these in particular as a review.  Students in my class: Do not  include these review videos in your video notebook. If you do them, keep them separate since they do not have a label.

THE FIREFOX BROWSER DOES NOT SHOW ALL UPDATES AND VIDEOS.
