Synthetic Division
Some teachers don't like students to know how to divide using Synthetic Division. Synthetic Division can only be used if you have a polynomial divided by a linear binomial (e.g., x - 3). Below are division problems using Synthetic Division, which is a short, faster way to do Long Division in special circumstances. Students need to know how to do Traditional Long Division.
