To manage the learning progress of my students during my student teaching placement I completed a "Student Needs Chart" as an assignment for my Classroom Management class at Northern Michigan University. The student needs chart helped me see the needs of each of my students and what I could do to help them better to succeed. I was able to create guided notes, week at a glance charts, and alternative assignments for many of my students that needed the help or needed a chart. I also provide folders for each of my students located at the front of the room upon walking into the classroom. Students keep their work in the folder through out the marking period. I grade their work in packets each week. This allows me to see the progress of my students, as well as allows the student to see how they are doing.
Below is a copy of my "Student Needs Chart", where you can see how I have helped my students with their individual needs.
